Gallery Updates

June 16th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Marvel, Marvel Universe, Super Hero Squad

It’s been a little while, but we’ve got another series of gallery updates today.

First off, in the Marvel Universe Misc. Shots folder, we’ve got some new comparison shots of the Green, Grey and Red Hulks, and the three Human Torches. Wolverine’s Motorcycle from the TRU Exclusive X-Men Origins Wolverine set has finally made it to the gallery, and so didn’t the rest of Marvel Universe Wave 4. Only frontal shots for now, but when our normal camera is available again, we’re going to re-shoot these with the normal all-around shots.

We’ve also added to our capsule toy gallery collection with shots of the 1977 Marvel gumball machine rings featuring Spider-Woman, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Hulk, Doctor Strange and Ghost Rider.

Last, but far from least, Clanure’s ever interersting What I Got gallery is updated with some of his recent gets like Gargoyle and Nighthawk Super Hero Squad figures and some of the recent mystery figures, like the silver Ultimate Captain America and the red pants Hulk

While today’s gallery update may not have a lot of photos although it does bring us up to 3650 images. Since the regular camera was unavailable, we only took front-facing profile pictures for now and we’ll put all-around shots up later. And now for the rundown:

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Cyclops and Iceman, and the Jim Lee costume Sabretooth and Wolverine from the Toys R Us Exclusive set

Marvel Universe Wave 4 Blade. Wave 3 is up too, mostly, with the rest coming soon.

Marvel Universe Running Change Spider-Man v.1 and some Spider-Man comparison shots (along with a comparison shot of the Ms. Marvel figures, and a quick headswap Moonstone as Ms. Marvel figure.)

Ms. Marvel and the Gotham Knights 3-Pack (Batman, Deadshot and Scarecrow) Infinite Heroes figures

The City in Crisis/Spider-Man Saves the Day and Winter Soldier Saga figures, including comparison shots of the Sandman and Captain America figures. And in other Super Hero Squad figures, pre-production figures of Ultimate Wolverine and stretched Mr. Fantastic, whom Clanure has previously uploaded full profile shots and an Invisible Woman comparison shot. Then there’s the Super Teams Fantastic Four pre-production Thing figure and a comparison shot with the Arachno-Racer Thing.

And finally, we come to Clanure’s ever cool What I Got folder with the new Combat Heroes Cobra 5-pack (with the background image showing the G.I. Joe 5-pack), a pre-production Nighthawk, and a Robot Heroes Devastator!

Wolverine’s X-Chariot

May 10th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Universe

Toyark has a picture of what they’re calling the X-Chariot for the X-Men Origins Wolverine line. Shin Densetsu was the first to notice that it’s apparently just a retooled Sand Razor so on the one hand, Hasbro’s bad luck with Marvel comic-styled vehicles continues (see any Super Hero Squad vehicles for further support of this trend) apparently continues. It’ll also feature an Astonishing X-Men inspired (since it doesn’t QUITE have the right look) Wolverine repaint.

Marvel Universe Gigantic Battles News

May 6th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Universe

Ok, so it’s not much by way of news, but The Fwoosh has a new Q&A up saying, essentially, they can’t talk about more Marvel Universe Gigantic Battles figures because they’re still pretty far off in the future, more X-Men Origins Wolverine figures are going to be announced at SDCC, and they’re looking at adding more cuts to the arms of female figures (ie, a bicep cut). So not much information, but what little there is is good, right?

Upcoming X-Men Origins Wolverine Figures

May 2nd, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Universe

While Cyclops and Iceman from X-Men Origins: Wolverine Wave 3 are up for pre-order on Hasbro, Marvel hints that more figures will to be announced at San Diego Comic Con coming up shortly. From the article:

In addition to future waves to be announced at San Diego Comic Con, modern-costumed Cyclops and a translucent Iceman join the über-popular plastic phenom.

Newsclips 04/29/09

Clanure has started a thread on the board about the recent dry spell between news and releases on… well… just about every toy line anyone collects! Join in if you’ve noticed the dry spell too.

Masters of the Universe Classics Mer-Man sells out in under an hour, for the second time. Collectors that were shut out still mad. I’ve only been locked out of one figure so far, and I fear it’ll happen again, but some people have had worse luck than me. Note to Mattel, the e-commerce server hosting your site just can’t handle the order onslaught. The sooner the figures sell out, the more people feel rushed to rush your site, thus more of an order onslaught. Finding a new e-commerce solution might go a long way to fixing the ill-will.

X-Men Origins Wolverine Cyclops and Iceman figures are apparently hitting stores on the West Coast now. Great news for Marvel Universe fans looking to boost tiher X-Men contingent, bad news for people that hate the leg joints.

TV Shows On DVD has the Hulk-centric cover art for the next volume of Wolverine and the X-Men.

They’ve also apparently got some some-what leaked pencil art for the third volume of the original X-Men animated series DVDs.

X-Men Origins Wolverine, Infinite Heroes, Marvel Universe updates

While it’s not as cool as Clanure’s Combat Heroes Wave 3 update, we’ve put gray Hulk into the Marvel Universe Wave 2 gallery, Battle for Metropolis Lex Luthor and Luthor Trooper are in the DC Infinite Heroes Exclusives gallery, with Lex and Trooper comparison shots, and Movie Deadpool, Victor Creed and Wolverine are up in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine Gallery.
