Seriously. How Does Your Collection Rock? ENDS TOMORROW!!!
We’ve let this sort of rest for a while, but since I can only really see two official entries over in the “How Does Your Collection Rock?” forum and the contest ends TOMORROW, I must say it is a sad day when Rumor Busters turn their noses up at FREE TOYS!!!
Let me remind you: All you have to do is tell us why your collection (It can be ANYTHING! No restrictions except maybe cadaver parts, hairy 70′s porn or Hitler memorabilia, and even then, we’re getting desperate…)
We’re playing it pretty fast and loose with word counts and pictures now, so show and tell or just tell, and most of all, WOW us. Moderators are posting collections as well, although their entries do not count.
What’s up for grabs?
First Prize is a kick-butt Wolverine Claw.
Second Prize is a 6 Inch Iron Monger Figure.
Third Prize is a 3.75 Iron Man figure.
These prizes were donated by Hasbro, and we will not be keeping them! They must go!
Pictures and stories are due by March 20, (TOMORROW!!!) 2010 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Once entrants have been collected they will be entered into a poll, where YOU GUYS will decide the winners!!! Voting runs until March 27, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
Get to it!!! Time is running short!
Contest: How Cool is Your Collection?
This post is stickied. Regular news updates continue after this post.
The Story: A little while back, the fine folks of Hasbro passed along a box of swag to pass along.
The Question: What do we do with it?

Super Hero Squad Wolverine Evolutions
Beast pointed out the new Super Hero Squad Wolverine set (Wolverine Evolutions) has a few pictures out over at Collection Station. Poking around, you’ll see they also have a boxed photo listing the set as
“X-Men Movie Collection” (with more details coming soon, hopefully), and the figures are listed as
Wolverine with Bone Claws
Wolverine Congo Assault Outfit
Wolverine Weapon X Escape
Wolverine X-Men Uniform
Hopefully more information is coming soon! Feel free to discuss over on the board.
Wolverine Wave 3?
Entertainment Earth and Big Bad Toy Store have pre-orders up for Wolverine Wave 3 (so I guess that makes Doom of the Dark Beast the one and only set for Wave 2?) listing X-Cutioner’s Song (or just “son” at Entertainment Earth) and Wolverine Evolution. No word yet on who or what’s in what, but the speculation is still going on over at the board. Thanks to Jestergoblin for the tipoff!
More Wolverine Sets
MutieJoe (a regular at TheFwoosh’s Forums and the Super Hero Squad Forum discovered a Hong Kong seller with sets of movie-version Combat Heroes and the Super Hero Squad sets Battling the Brotherhood and Hunt for Mr. Sinister. Since this seller is a great guy, he includes shots of the back, revealing new sets: The Coming of Apocalypse (Angel repainted as Archangel, Wolverine, Nightcrawler and finally a regular figure sized Apocalypse) and Wolverine on the Run (featuring a movie-styled motorcycle-riding Wolverine, movie versions of Sabretooth/Victor Creed and Deadpool, along with yet another motorcycle.) That’s right… we get Wolverine and his cycle in the Mobile Command Center, in the Dark Beast and Havok set, and now in the Wolverine on the Run set. Three times in one year.
