Super Hero Squad Kraven in 2010
ActionFigs.com has finally cracked the nut that is Hasbro and convinced them to reveal that Kraven is on the Super Hero Squad slate for Fall 2010. Additionally, they had some good news about the unreleased four packs, or at least the figures in those packs:
ActionFigs: Any updates on the Super Hero Squad 4-Packs that weren’t released in the United States? Winter Soldier Saga, Spider-Man Saves The Day, The New Fantastic Four, The Defenders, Secret Invasion Begins, and Secret Wars. There’s a lot of figures in those boxed sets that we’ve been wanting for a long time to fill out teams.
Hasbro: Look for these figures in our 2010 2-pack lineup…
Beast mentioned this over on the board, so head on over there to discuss this great news.
Newsclips 03/18/09
We’re hard at work on more surprises for everyone, so we’re just going to do a quick news round-up tonight.
First off, Action Figure Insider has a March Hasbro Q&A. Highlights? Hasbro confirms Ultimate Hulk, City in Crisis and Winter Soldier will be released. Lowlights? They say “the timing is not yet confirmed.” It doesn’t take a top-secret decoder ring to know that means it’ll be a while.
Marvelousnews’s March Q&A brings us a look at the Marvel Universe Wave 5 Electro and says that the Nick Fury mail-away is still being finalized, with details “coming soon”. Figure stands, on the other hand, not yet.
And everyone is posting Hasbro’s promotional shots for Marvel Universe Wave 3, so we’ll give this link to Cool Toy Review.
And a DC Characters without Infinite Heroes Figures page has gone up to compliment the Marvel Characters Without Super Hero Squad Figures page that board user Alamo started back in February.
And just a reminder, if anyone else wants to take a cue from Alamo and start a “_____ characters not in ______ toyline” page on the wiki, try to stick to major characters (we love Thena of the Eternals too, but she’s one of the least likely characters to get an action figure in any line) and to currently ongoing toy lines because, for better or worse, Deadpool will almost assuredly never get a 1980′s Mattel Secret Wars figure.
Once More Winter Soldier, Once More.

Now, we’ve all seen the eBay auctions, or heard from the Asian collectors who managed to snag a set, so there’s still hope that the figures will be coming out soon even if Hasbro has (finally) canceled the remaining orders (because the item has been on pre-order for 7 months now!) Look at how long the Collector’s Pack took! We, the loyal collectors have been waiting a long time for things like Winter Soldier, City in Crisis, Collector’s Pack 2, Wave 9… if only Hasbro would give us status updates every so often! On the other hand, these long waits sure give us a sign of the product development and distribution cycle! Really makes you curious about how far ahead they actually are!
