Hasbro’s SDCC 2010 Exclusive Pictures
As message board readers learned this morning, press pictures of Hasbro’s 2010 SDCC Exclusives have been released (and and we’ve got them!) Head over to our full Hasbro 2010 SDCC Exclusive gallery for more. Head over to the message board for all your SDCC discussions!
The list of exclusives is long and covers most toy lines, but we’re still trying to figure out one in particular: the movie costume Spider-Man. It looks like it might be a 3.75 inch figure, but we have not heard about it yet and we’re still trying to figure out what it is. Other important figures, are of course, the packaged SDCC 2010 Marvel Universe Galactus, WWII Ultimate Captain America, Thor (Ages of Thunder), and the Mayor/Doctor Doom/Iron Man Super Hero Squad 3-pack. Of course, there’s also some Star Wars, Strawberry Shortcake, Transformers, My Little Pony, GI Joe and both an Iron Man and a Prowl Mighty Mugg.
SDCC Infinite Heroes Starro and Aquaman!
Amongst the Mattel SDCC reveals on G4TV’s Attack of the Show was a Brave and the Bold #28 Boxed Set set with Starro! Shown were Aquaman (making his Infinite Heroes debut, and sure to make this set a big seller), Martian Manhunter, Hal Jordan, Barry Allen as the Flash, and Wonder Woman. Brave and the Bold 28 was the first appearance of the Justice League of America, featuring the fabulous five-some battling the otherworldly conqueror Starro. Batman and Superman are noticeably absent, but that’s ok, we have enough of those guys, right? Head over to the message board to talk about it!
Oh, and Orko and Prince Adam are pretty cool too… but it would be even cooler if we actually get a chance to get them.
Mezco’s Hellboy Products
First off, the Super Hero Squad-like BPRD Buddies are in stock and shipping from various online retailers, and they’ve gotten at least one good review over on the board. Fans of the 3.75 inch line can see pictures of the upcoming SDCC exclusive Hellboy II The Golden Army Soldier 2-pack over at Action Figure Pictures, while elsewhere on AFP, they have pictures of the Mez-Itz Hellboy figure, which is sort of like a Mighty Mugg (or any of the other similar vinyl toys) for Mezco.
Marvel Universe Black and White Captain America and SDCC Mighty Mugg pictures
Action Figure Pictures has some press photos of some of Hasbro’s Marvel SDCC offerings, including the sealed Marvel Universe SDCC 4-pack, the retractable claws Wolverine Mighty Mugg, and the black and white Marvel Universe Captain America. Well worth a look if you haven’t already seen them. The one shame is that again, a Captain America using the Ultimate Captain America body.
Marvel Universe Invaders Box Set Pictures
wintersoldier69 was the first to point out pictures of the boxed and carded SDCC Marvel Universe Invaders set, but unfortunately, his post slipped under our radar. Meanwhile, Marvelousnews.com has additional pictures from a preview set.
Carded Anti-Monitor at DCCollector.com
Mattel is launching the press photos of the DC Universe Classics Wildcat variant and SDCC 2009 Green Lantern JLU set, but perhaps more interesting is the first carded picture of the Anti-Monitor (specially numbered as infinity).
Shocker Toys SDCC 2009 Dick Tracy Figures
The fine folks at Shocker Toys sent along a press release with some great promotional shots of the upcoming SDCC exclusive Dick Tracy black and white variants. For those not in the know, many of us here at the Rumorbuster are fans of America’s first, and possibly greatest, detective who is currently closing in on 80 years of publication. IDW has been doing a great job publishing the original strips, and has reached volume 7 in their reprints, while the daily strip keeps plugging along.
As for the toys themselves, there’s two versions, a tommy gun toting variant and a suited handgun version, but both version of the dapper gent will also have colorized versions in Shocker Toys upcoming second wave of Indie Spotlight figures (which are up for pre-order and as of now scheduled to ship in August/September).
The full collection of pictures from the press release are up over on the gallery so you can check them out. In the meantime, here’s a sample of what’s to come:
