The Rumor Buster on Twitter
We did it. Finally, facing peer pressure and because we wanted to be like the cool kids, we joined twitter. The Rumor Buster content on Twitter is going to be more or less what you see on the front page, but just as the Rumor Buster message board breaks news faster than we can up it up here, the Twitter feed may get things up a little quicker than the front page, along with odds and ends you wouldn’t normally find here on the front page, such as the #movieswithBatman hashtag, a what if list of famous movies, with Batman (including far too many No Country for Batman suggestions), or a link to Transformers 3 set photos. Shootout Reviews Reloads!
So last week’s shootout came to a close with a bang, and when the dust finally settled, Spiral, with a score of 34.8 beat the Thing who had a score of 31.7. Am I disappointed? Sure. But the margin is a small one, so not too much so.
But we’ve reloaded and we’re keeping the shots firing with a brand new Shootout!
This week we’ve got another crazy match-up for you, with Clanure backing another lady from the X-Verse, (Rogue) and me (Really_Rather_Not_Nice) going with a fearless vampire hunter (Blade). It’s a little thing we like to call: Shootout Reviews Round 2: Rogue vs. Blade

New Rumor Buster Feature: Shootout Reviews!
In an effort to bring you the reader more new content that rocks, Clanure and I (Really_Rather_Not_Nice) have concocted a new review feature for the site that will hopefully knock your socks off! But wait! That’s not all! You, dear readers, get to help and participate in the judgmental goodness!
Two of our favorite figures will be chosen and reviewed in a face-off in which YOU get to help us decide the superior figure, and ultimate ruler of the universe! We’re going with Super Hero Squad to start out, but plan to branch out to other toy lines as time goes on.
Seriously. How Does Your Collection Rock? ENDS TOMORROW!!!
We’ve let this sort of rest for a while, but since I can only really see two official entries over in the “How Does Your Collection Rock?” forum and the contest ends TOMORROW, I must say it is a sad day when Rumor Busters turn their noses up at FREE TOYS!!!
Let me remind you: All you have to do is tell us why your collection (It can be ANYTHING! No restrictions except maybe cadaver parts, hairy 70′s porn or Hitler memorabilia, and even then, we’re getting desperate…)
We’re playing it pretty fast and loose with word counts and pictures now, so show and tell or just tell, and most of all, WOW us. Moderators are posting collections as well, although their entries do not count.
What’s up for grabs?
First Prize is a kick-butt Wolverine Claw.
Second Prize is a 6 Inch Iron Monger Figure.
Third Prize is a 3.75 Iron Man figure.
These prizes were donated by Hasbro, and we will not be keeping them! They must go!
Pictures and stories are due by March 20, (TOMORROW!!!) 2010 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Once entrants have been collected they will be entered into a poll, where YOU GUYS will decide the winners!!! Voting runs until March 27, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
