Transformers: Good News/Bad News

January 6th, 2010 Comments Off Posted in Hasbro, Hasbro Heroes, Robot Heroes

First, the bad news… it looks like Robot Heroes may have joined Adventure Heroes, M-Pire and Toy Box Heroes in the Hasbro Heroes graveyard. Normanb258 shared this over on the message board but apparently Parry Game Preserve asked a very delicate question regarding Robot Heroes, and got a sad answer:

Preserve: Do you plan to continue the Robot Heroes line beyond the current movie figures?

Hasbro: We do not have any plans to continue with this expression of Transformers past the ROTF line.

So now you want good news? Hasbro has released pictures of some upcoming Transformers figures and we’ve got them over in the Transformers Gallery. One warning for those that don’t collect the line, Rampage may make you want to start. Here’s the rundown:

  • Scout Brakedown
  • Scout Sonar
  • Scout Wideload
  • Voyager Bludgeon
  • Voyager Recon Ironhide
  • Human Alliance Mudflap with Agent Simmons
  • Powerbots Sideswipe
  • Deluxe Rampage
  • Deluxe Evac
  • Combat and Robot Heroes Holiday 2009 Pictures in the Gallery

Combat Heroes and Robot Heroes Target Holiday Sets

The Target holiday Combat Heroes and Robot Heroes sets are hitting stores now. I put up some quick cell phone pictures up over on the message board until they get to a better home. In the meantime, here’s a rundown of the changes I can see between them and the original figures:

Optimus Prime has silver antennae and looks to be a much brighter shade of blue

Ironhide: possibly a repaint of the Ironhide/Mixmaster figure, but not sure yet.

Starscream: Looks like the Springer/Starscream 2-pack figure but painted a little lighter.

Snake Eyes: Possibly a repaint of the Snake Eyes/Neo Viper figure?

Storm Shadow: a repaint of the Heavy Duty/Storm Shadow figure?

Conrad “Duke” Hauser: a blonder/lighter haired version of the Duke/Baroness 2-pack figure. Also, I think the green is a little lighter.

Edit: 9:30 a.m. 11/06/09 – I double checked the figures and realized that the glare from the pictures was making some black things look silver, so Ironhide and Snake Eyes are downgraded to potential repaints.
