Super Hero Squad Wave 20 Pictures

August 30th, 2010 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Universe, Super Hero Squad

Hasbro has forwarded official pictures of Super Hero Squad Wave 20 (Deadpool and Taskmaster, Spider-Man and Ronan, and Wolverine and Juggernaut), along with Mystique and the Team X Wolverine from Marvel Universe Wave 10, and so they are currently up in the Hasbro gallery. Never before have we seen so many guns, swords and otherwise fine weapons of destruction in such a small sample of toys! It’s like the Blade/Punisher 2-pack all over again!

We’ve rounded up some Hasbro related pictures from SDCC 2010.  Early on, from Twitter, comes a picture of the Thor booth at Hasbro and a a picture of Captain America’s booth too.

Spider-Man 3.75 gets some new pictures too, including Ben Reilly (here), a new Venom (here).

Super Hero Squad gets some love too, including a new Collector’s Pack featuring Enchantress, Loki, Thor, Hulk, Iron Man and a giant Frost Giant (as seen here), a Super Hero Squad Hercules and a new Iron Man vehicle (here), and an Invisible Woman/Iron Man/HERBIE pack (here), Namor’s old foe Tiger Shark (here), and a new playset featuring Galactus (here), and Rescue and the other upcoming Iron Man 2 SHS figures (here)

Now, Iron Man 2 isn’t out on it’s own, there’s some coverage of the newest Hall of Armor armors (here), new armors (here), comic based classic Mandarin and Whiplash’s newest look from the Iron Man Whiplash mini-series (here).

Marvel Universe has had some love too, with lots of shots of previously released figures, and previously previewed figures, although it’s nice to see the new battle packs like Thor/Iron Man, Wolverine/Captain America (with his battle damaged shield), Daken and Venom as Dark Wolverine and the Sinister Spider-Man, Sentry and Spider-Man, and Cyclops and Dark Phoenix (here)

Marvel Universe Secret Wars Wave 4

December 21st, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Universe

WeaponEversor beat me to it, but over at the Marvelousnews.com forums, someone posted pictures of a Marvel Universe Secret Wars Wave 4 cardback, and photos of Doctor Doom, Absorbing Man and a mini-sized Wasp. Others shown on the cardback included Nightcrawler and Mohawk Storm, and Bulldozer and Thing. On the interesting side, does this mean no Wrecker after all? Feel free to discuss this over on the board!

Marvel Universe Gallery Update

December 6th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Universe, Mezco

Although I’d planned a larger Marvel Universe gallery update, I broke it into two parts so I could get it out quicker. Today’s update, however, includes Marvel Universe Secret Wars Wave 2 (Spider-Woman, Iron Man, Magneto, Spider-Man, Cyclops and the Hulk), the Toys R Us exclusive Marvel Universe henchmen 3-pack featuring the Hydra Agent, SHIELD Agent and Hand Ninja, and the glossy Red Hulk. Also included is a loose comparison of the glossy and matte Marvel Universe Red Hulks.

And to spare me from making another post, the Mezco Cinema of Fear Tiny Terrors checklist has now been updated.

Wave 6 Variants

November 3rd, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Hasbro, Marvel, Marvel Universe

Our thanks goes to member WeaponEversor for the tip about ComicFigs having pictures of MU wave 6 variants!

Apparently there are/are going to be variants/running changes for both Vision and Warpath!

Here you can see Warpath in his normal X-Men uniform (rather than the non-variant X-Force uniform)!

And here you can see the clear, phasing Vision variant!

Both are awesome additions to the MU line! Head over to the board to discuss it!

He Hungers…

November 3rd, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Hasbro, Marvel, Marvel Universe

As I’m sure many people are aware, MU wave 6 has been hitting shelves all around the nation. What you may not be aware of is that Hasbro hid (in plain sight) a teaser of sorts on the cardback for House of M Spider-Man (aka Series 2 Figure 001). If you were lucky enough to look carefully at the cardback of Spider-Man, then you may already know what I’m talking about. For those of you who just ripped open your figure without looking very close at the cardback, let me explain.

Spider-Man cardback

Spider-Man cardback

Here’s the cardback. Doesn’t look too out of the ordinary on first glance, but if you look in the upper right corner where it says the figure number…

He hungers...

He hungers...

You can clearly see that above the figure number it says “he hungers…”. I checked all the other figures for wave 6 and Spider-Man was the only one that said this!

Now, I know that here at The Rumor Buster we’re not supposed to start or help spread rumors…but no one said anything about healthy speculation.

So, let’s speculate. Now, we know that there is a Galactus figure that Hasbro is planning to release which is 19″ tall and will have electronics in it. We know this because at the Hasbro Marvel panel at SDCC ’09 the Hasbro reps said, “…it will have electronics in it so you’ll be able to hear your Galactus speak.” Another panelist then promptly said, “I hunger…” for the Galactus figure.

The cardback clearly says “he hungers…” which leads me think that they’re alluding to Galactus (since he is famously known for being hungry) with this cryptic message. When asked (in various Q&As) about the Galactus figure shown at Comic-Con, Hasbro has been very guarded about its details.

So, do you think that Galactus will be released sometime this year? If so, will he be in a normal Gigantic Battles pack or will he be some sort of exclusive? Whatever your opinion, come talk about it on the board!

Iron Man 2 Movie Series 3.75 Inch figures

October 16th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Universe

Marvelousnews.com has pictures of two Movie Series Iron Man 2 figures. They’re Mark I and Mark II armors. The good news: These figures look pretty decent, come with a stand and “armor cards”. The bad news (for some of us): they have the ball joint hips and have rocket/missle/blast launching add-on guns. Think you’re going to go crazy for the extra armory? Would you rather have more accessories than a figure stand? Or maybe you’d rather have flight stands than rocket launchers? However you feel, join us on the board for more discussion
