Marvel Universe Wave 10 Photos, and Iron Man 2 News

May 28th, 2010 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Universe

The most recent Marvelousnews Q&A has news that an official Hasbro Marvel Universe checklist is in the works! Of course, the Q&A also has the sad news that a movie Happy Hogan is NOT in the works.

Meanwhile, The Toyark Q&A hints that Mandarin and Whiplash may be coming.

Neither are off limits for collection 2 of the comic series. You should definitely check them out and see if Mandarin or Whiplash make an appearance. You might even be lucky enough to find BOTH villains in one collection!

.

Meanwhile, Marvelousnews was one of the sites to feature pictures of the upcoming Marvel Universe Wave 10, including Havok, Mystique, Johnny Blaze as Ghost Rider, Captain Britain and Jamie Madrox. The pictures were scanned from Previews magazine though, and sites featuring the pictures have subsequently removed them. The link WAS at this url though.

Marvelousnews is reporting that the new wave of Iron Man 2 3.75 inch figures is hitting shelves in some places this week. For those that don’t remember, this is the long awaited wave with Titanium Man, the Hulkbuster Iron Man Armor and of course, that army-building Guardsman. Now we just need a Vault playset to staff with those Guardsmen!

March 31st, 2010 Comments Off Posted in Super Hero Squad

Entertainment Earth brings us a new pre-order sure to give speculators something to ponder with it’s Iron Man 2 Super Hero Squad Wave 3 listing:

Coming in July 2010
1x IM 3pk #1 (Mark V, Whiplash, Drone)
1x IM 3pk #2 (Mark VI, War Machine, Drone)
1x IM Armory 3pk(Torpedo, Heavy, EVO)
1x Stark Labs 3pk (Cap, Hulkbuster, Pepper)

So the Drone sets are Final Battle and Hi-Tech Showdown from Wave 2, but “Cap” and “Pepper” in a Stark Labs set? Could this be the What If Iron Cap armor? Something else? And finally, a Pepper Potts figure? Speculators go wild over on the Super Hero Squad board

War Machine Red and Blue

March 6th, 2010 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Universe

Hmm… that title makes me think of an Iron Man story where Iron Man builds tow sets of armor, one red, one yellow, but when both get trashed, he’s got to kitbash an old fashioned red-and-yellow from the spare parts. Anyway, one of the newest variants to hit store shelves is in the Iron Man 2 3.75 inch line. The movie version of War Machine has both a red chest and a blue chest (with corresponding eyes). Both Marvelousnews and Toyark have pieces about it. There doesn’t seem to be a clear consensus about whether it’s a running change or a variant, and which one is the more prevalent, although the early reports from those sites would suggest the blue is the harder to find one.
