Mr. Fantastic and 2009 Movie Series Robot Heroes in the Gallery
Easily intimidated? Then perhaps you don’t want to hear that Clanure’s collection now includes the Mr. Fantastic from the apparently ill-fated Mr. Fantastic/Galactus Mega-Pack and the first wave of 2009 Movie Robot Heroes. Still, it’s hard to stay jealous of someone who takes such great pictures so be sure to drop a note of thanks to Clanure over on the board.
Super Hero Squad Gallery Updated
Well, in a fortuitous turn this post is our 500th post (not counting posts made on the message board or anything, or the now 300 pages we have up at the wiki) and it happens on our first anniversary. We’ve obviously evolved, but hopefully we continue bringing you stuff you enjoy.
With that out of the way, today’s update to the gallery includes the card backs for Super Hero Squad waves 9 through 13 (still minus Tigra) and Iron Man Waves 2 and 3, and scans of the Super Hero Squad Puzzle boxes (both the Milton Bradley and Playskool series). We also did some work on the Super Hero Squad wiki page, and updating the Infinite Heroes wiki page with the single figure numbers for Luthor Trooper, Supergirl and OMAC now that packaged figures have shown up on eBay.
If you’ve got any thoughts, comments or suggestions, feel free to drop a note to clevernamehere@therumorbuster.com or come visit the board
SHS Wave 13 in the Gallery
Almost all of Super Hero Squad Wave 13 is up in the gallery. We’re still waiting on the Tigra pack, but enjoy Thor, Iron Man (Thorbuster), Bullseye, Scarlet Spider, Silver Surfer and the Human Torch. We’re pushing 3100 photos in the gallery, and almost at 14,000 image views. Also check out the new additions to the Visitor’s Gallery with more contributions from Rick and Alex!
Wolverine and Infinite Heroes Galleries Updated
The Hunt for Mr. Sinister Wolverine Super Hero Squad figures are up at the gallery. We’ve scanned the back of the box and because someone asked me whether Sinister and Colossus share a bottom half, we took some comparison shots. Colossus has more leg-lines, his boot has a flat area and detailing around the point, while Sinister has a smaller pelvis, shorter thighs, and an extra fold/bend in the boot where his ankles would be. So similar, but not quite.
And in Infinite Heroes news, Captain Atom, Kingdom Come Superman and a front-shot of the Battle for Metropolis Luthor Trooper are up in the Infinite Heroes gallery. We’re almost at the 3000 image mark, and we’ll likely hit 13,000 image views overnight! On a semi-related note, remember that questions, comments, suggestions and discussion are always welcome at the message board.
Gallery updated, again
And there are more, many, many more, additions to the Gallery! I just finished adding the Best Buy Exclusive Wonder Woman and some comparison shots to the Infinite Heroes section, and Gambit and Deadpool to the X-Men Origins Wolverine section.
Clanure, however has been far more productive and has added Crossbones to the Super Hero Squad, the SDCC 2008 exclusive Snake Eyes to Combat Heroes, and some packaged shots to M-Pire.
Meanwhile, there’s also some new additions to the Visitor’s Gallery that are worth checking out. All these pictures up the collection to almost 2750, with over 11,600 image views!
In other news, the Wiki has seen a lot of activity this week. Clanure has made a checklist and is busy with profiles for M-Pire, and I’ve done some small updates to the Super Hero Squad profiles, and updating the Masters of the Universe Classics and Time Squad checklists (with profiles coming soon), and adding a short profile on Captain America to our comic book character profiles. And as always, additions to the wiki are more than welcome.
The Infinite Heroes Gallery is Updated
We’ve finally picked up some new Infinite Heroes to add to the gallery, so now you can enjoy Wonder Woman, Sinestro and the Ray Palmer Atom, or you can look at the Jay Garrick Flash, Alex Luthor, and the new Thanagarian Soldier. We’ve also taken some new side-by-sides of the Jay Garrick and Barry Allen Flashes, Alex and Lex Luthor, Ryan Choi and Ray Palmer, Wonder Woman and Wondergirl, Sinestro and Hal Jordan, the now-completed Trinity, and just because we could, a new version of the Justice League group shot, which, despite my great pride at remembering to include Nightwing from that Manitou Raven era of the team, doesn’t include Jay Garrick (who hung with the League for like a half-dozen issues around the time that Ice died.
Wolverine Wave 1, Part 1
We’ve added the Coming of Apocalypse and Uncanny X-Men Wolverine 4-packs into the Gallery, with Wolverine on the Run and Battling the Brotherhood coming up soon, and the Hunt for Mr Sinister being shipped as we speak. We’ve also scanned the box-backs for Uncanny, Apocalypse, Run, and Brotherhood. When the Wolverine packs are finished, we’ll have over 2,000 Super Hero Squad images in the gallery!
And because we’ve had a lot of requests for side-by-side shots, and the repaints in this line can be pretty hard to notice at first, we’ve got Apocalypse Wolverine vs. Magneto Wolverine, the Nightcrawlers (notice the tails and the gold belt buckle), Sabretooths, the Deadpools front, and the Deadpools back, and Uncanny Wolverine vs. Collector’s Pack Wolverine (notice the location of the arm hair).
