DCUC Wave 15 and new JLU Singles
Mattycollector.com has some great press pictures of DCUC Wave 15 and the newest JLU singles, including Superman with a Starro spore, John Stewart as Power Ring, Barry Allen Flash, Mr. Terrific and the single-carded Batman Beyond! DCUC is essentially a confirmation of prior rumors, but it’s so nice to see them:
* Golden Pharaoh — Complete your “Super Powers” collection! Golden Pharaoh is armed with his Pyramid Power staff and rocks a transparent purple torso and collar.
* Classic Starman –Traditional version of Starman is well equipped with his Cosmic Rod and a Stellar Energy Pistol. Celestial crime fighting was never so much fun!
* Modern Starman — The updated version of Starman lands with his trusty Cosmic Rod and features contemporary translucent parts.
* OMAC — He’s not bad, he’s just built that way! Cyborg OMAC is rendered in dramatic detail in his first outing as an action figure.
* Martian Manhunter — Two versions will be released, so it’ll be your turn to hunt the hunter for both the standard figure and the hard-to-find chase version with Martian head and “weapon” hand!
* Raven — Stunning and smart, the Fan’s Choice winner comes to life as a magnificent action figure.
* Sinestro Corps Batman — Commemorating his near-indoctrination into the dark side, our hero comes with a transparent Batarang ring construct.

Now, one awesome thing about the Justice League of America set is that it comes with the first Wonder Woman in the new female body! She’s got a classic hair, but kicking legs so bye-bye v-cut! Flash, Martian Manhunter and Aquaman all look like V3 bodies, while Starro is just awesome.
Attack of Show to have Mattel SDCC reveals!
After causing a mild quandry on the Matty Collector forums, the airdates for the G4 Network’s Attack of Show Mattel SDCC reveals have been revealed: April 12 and 15! Mattycollector.com says there’s 4 reveals each night, with bonus reveals on Friday, April 16th when “we’ll have the complete list of SDCC products with images PLUS a couple more reveals!” No clue what’s going to be revealed, but they did drop some hints:
a couple of hints… 1) a DCU item will have a ton of accessories, and 2) we have an Avatar™ item that, for the first time, combines a 3-3/4″ figure and a 6″ figure in one package.

Newsclips 09/09/09
First off, DCUC Wave 12 is announced in Toyfare (Actionfigurepics.com has the rundown of the characters) revealing Copperhead, DeSaad, Doctor Mid-Nite, Eclipso, Iron, Mary Marvel, Spectre and Darkseid as the Collect and Connect. A distinctive, but generally low-level bad guy, two more Kirby/New World heavy hitters (both of which do double duty as rounding out the Super Powers Collection roster), two more JSA’ers, the first Metal Man, and another member of the Marvel Family… all in all a pretty successful roster. I still think the highlight is Eclipso though.
The Fwoosh finishes it’s interview with Scott Neitlich of Mattel and there’s actually some brief Infinite Heroes talk. The 2010 theme will not be limited to Infinite Heroes, but will run through all the Mattel DC lines and it will likely be introduced in the fall. There won’t be a proof of purchase clipping program though, so no more hunting for Anti-Monitor points I suppose.
And finally, Airheads is having a Batman Brave and the Bold theme, with 6 individual wrappers (Batman, Blue Beetle, Aquaman, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, and Plastic Man), but they’ve also got some fun and games on their site like a quiz to find what Brave and the Bold character you are, or the painting screen that lets you paint your own Batman!
