Feel free to jump over to the message board to discuss. In other animation news, a fine group of folks have started a facebook page to save the Spectacular Spider-Man animated series, so fans of Spidey’s most recent animated adventures should head over there to check them out.

Just a quick news round up for tonight:

First, IGN has an interview with the Marvel Brand Manager at Hasbro, Scott George regarding the Marvel Universe figures. Don’t expect new news though, there’s the usual talk of how the response to the line has been phenomenal, there’s the same old talk about how 3.75 inch figures are good for playsets and vehicles (Fact 1: the 3.75 inch scale does make it easier to produce vehicles and playsets. Fact 2: you have to make those vehicles and playsets because otherwise we can’t buy them) and some questionable research (“we hear guys like Mike Deodato and Bob Layton are involved as well”. If be “hear” you mean it’s pretty common knowledge, and Mr. Layton has even posted the art he worked on for the Secret Wars sets for sale.) An ok read, but nothing critical.

Marvel Animation Age, however, has all kinds of new news about the Super Hero Squad show, including a rundown of the Enter Dormammu episode that aired earlier today, and a some upcoming episode titles. For those keeping track, here’s the rundown of upcoming episodes, with descriptions added:

Saturday, October 17th, 2009 at 8:30 (ET) – “A Brat Walks Among Us!” “A spoiled young girl wears a fractal tiara, which gives her enmorous power to exert her will.”

Monday, October 19th, 2009 at 8:30am (ET) – “Oh, Brother!” – Loki endangers the Squad as a result of his sibling rivalry with Thor.

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009 at 8:30am (ET) – “From the Atom… It Rises!” – A new villain, Scorpio, aligns himself with Doom and plots to steal Stark’s most powerful tech

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009 at 8:30am (ET) – “Night in the Sanctorum” – The Helicarrier is smashed, so the Squad are forced to stay with Dr. Strange

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 at 8:30am (ET) – “This Forest Green!” – Egghead shrinks himself to steal a fractal so the Squad’s ally Ant-Man oges after him at micro-scale

Friday, October 23rd, 2009 at 8:30am (ET) – “O, Captain, My Captain!”

Saturday, October 24th, 2009 at 8:30 (ET) – “If This Be My Thanos!” “The Squad helps the Fantastic Four in a battle with the Skrulls.”

Awesome right? Now get thyself to the message board to discuss!

Time for another news roundup. First off, a complete collected Superman The Animated Series is in the works for November 24, at a bargain price of almost $54. Of course, by then you’ll probably already have the November 3 release of Wolverine and the X-Men Vol. 3, or the box set collecting all three volumes with a “collectible laser cell”

Super Hero Squad comic strip writer Paul Tobin is continuing Marvel’s recent Secret Wars love with Spider-Man & The Secret Wars, a behind the scenes sort of look at what exactly went down on Battleworld between the various scenes shown in the original series. That’s just one of the many new Marvel reveals at Chicaco Comic Con 2009.

In action figure news, apparently there’s quite the debate going on about how best to flock the Masters of the Universe Classics Moss-Man.

Super Hero Squad Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are finally joining the Super Hero Squad. Unfortunately, it’s the cartoon, for now, but we here at the Rumorbuster firmly believe we’ll see our favorite twin Avengers in 2 inch plastic form eventually. The Scarlet Witch will be played by Tara Strong (Raven from Teen Titans), while Quicksilver will be played by Scott Menville (Robin from Teen Titans).
