Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes DVDs

February 14th, 2011 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Animated

TV Shows on DVD has news about the first two Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes DVDs, both to be released on April 26, and both apparently single-disc affairs with an MSRP of $19.99 and with running  times of 154 and 135 minutes.  No word yet on which episodes are officially included, or the episode sequencing (for instance, will the mini-sodes be included before the pilot episode like they aired on TV, or in the collected format that gets numbered AFTER the first handful of episodes?) but with luck a season set is in the works and we won’t still be waiting months later, like we are for Spectacular Spider-Man season 2.

Toy Talk Stampede 12/6/10

December 6th, 2010 Comments Off Posted in DC Animated, Galactic Heroes, Marvel Animated, Super Hero Squad

I’m just rounding up various topics of interest into a massive pot of post.

First: Do you see the similarities between Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Bruce Timm’s finest?  How bought Teen Titans 2… I mean, Young Justice (after all, all of the fun Titans aren’t in this show).  Join the discussion of Young Justice here.

Second: We’ve been discussing the upcoming, impending, and all highly theoretical Super Hero Squad Captain America presence.   With his moving coming up, the figures are a guarantee, but who will we get?  Toxin points us to an unusual prototype Super Hero Squad Captain America, and continues to feed discussion of who would we might see released in conjunction with the Captain America movie.  Toon’s got some pictures of the whole assortment of Captains so far, but you’ll probably need to sign up to see them.

Wrapping things up for today, Think takes us through some great ideas for modifying the recently released Galactic Heroes Senate Commando figure
