Deadpool, Blade, Bullseye and Spider-Girl in the Super Hero Squad MMO
Deadpool, Blade, Bullseye and Spider-Girl (with a bit of a Spidey and Friends influence) are going to be making appearances in the Super Hero Squad MMO according to Kotaku Australia, who has some slides of the NYCC Super Hero Squad MMO panel. Other appearances include the Red Hulk, even though he’s just an alternate costume like Hulk’s Planet Hulk costume, and there’s also pictures of Scarlet Spider and the Hulkbuster Iron Man armor. The official Super Hero Squad MMO site has pictures of the entire revealed roster so far.
Video Game Round-Up
Meant to do this last night, but today’s pretty good too, right? First off, brianregan09 came across X-Men Destiny, the upcoming new X-Men game penned by Mike Carey and produced by Activision and Silicon Knights. More news should be coming out at Marvel’s video game panel tomorrow.
And of course, you know all about Captain America Super Soldier, and you’ve probably seen the trailer on Youtube.
Also on Saturday, you can check out the Super Hero Squad online game and attend the online chat with Amazing Society.
So what do you think of these latest, greatest Marvel video games? Head over to the message board to discuss!
Marvel Video Game Poll
brianregan09 has started a new poll in the forum for the best Marvel video games, and while it’s limited to the current generation of consoles, much to the dismay of us old fogeys that love SNES and arcade games, head over and voice your opinions. Are you a fan of the Ultimate Alliance games? Or something like Spider-Man Web of Shadows? Is the excitement for new Marvel vs. Capcom going to make you explode? Head over to the board to discuss!
SDCC 2010 – Super Hero Squad and Thor Video Game Round-up!
IGN has a preview of the upcoming Super Hero Squad Online MMO with a breakdown of the Helicarier, which serves as player housing. Apparently the environment is pretty interactive, and the review mentions how characters interact with objects… Hulk can lift crates, Daredevil will use the treadmill, characters gain performance benefits from collecting or using items. The game is starting to shape up!
Meanwhile, the THQ Super Hero Squad Infinity Gauntlet video game gets a preview over at Marvel.com (although you’ve already seen the Super Hero Squad Infinity Gauntlet trailer here last week.
Meanwhile, Sega’s upcoming Thor video game also gets a spot at Marvel.com. Here’s how they describe the game:
In the game, Thor battles through the numerous worlds of Norse mythology that span realms ranging from primal worlds of fire and ice to extraordinary planets inhabited by Frost Giants and Trolls to save Asgard, the capital city of the Norse Gods. Thor must overcome monstrous foes lifted from the pages of the comics including Ulik, Ymir, and Surtur, as well as other monstrous denizens. Players will wield the iconic Mjölnir, Thor’s legendary hammer, to fight enemies on an immense scale while controlling the elemental storm powers of lightning, thunder, and wind to vanquish enemies. As Thor earns Valor points through his exploits, players can acquire new abilities, powers, and weapon upgrades.
And while we’re talking about video games, hopefully we’ll get some more details soon about the Suicide Squad video game talked about over on Robot 6. Not much is known, but the phrase hyper violent keeps getting bandied about.
Sounds good right? Head over to the Rumor Buster message board to discuss!
THQ’s Super Hero Squad Infinity Gauntlet Trailer
Included in today’s The Super Hero Squad Show DVD was the trailer for the upcoming THQ The Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet video game. While the trailer is brief, new characters like the Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Thanos are shown, with oodles and oodles of Skrulls and game play mechanics similar to the first video game. While we wait for the game to arrive this November, here’s some screen caps to tide you over. Edit: And now we have the (internet premiere?) of the Infinity Gauntlet trailer

Super Hero Squad MMO!!!
Both Newsarama and Comic Book Resources have the scoop, but here’s the run down kids:
Gazillion Entertainment seems to be Marvel’s new go-to guys for online Marvel gaming, and have put together a new MMO based on the cute-and cuddly versions of Marvel’s mightiest. Seems players will be able to walk a mile in the shoes of the actual heroes themselves, and Spider-Man (along with Invisible Woman, War Machine, and more) will be included in the character options! There will be extensive exploration of the locales featured in the show, as well as classic Marvel comic landmarks.
Be sure to discuss this new turn of events over in our forum!
