New Official Photos of Upcoming Marvel Squinkies

Well we’ve already seen some shots of the upcoming sets of Marvel Squinkies but Marvel.com (here) has some new, official photos of the upcoming packs featuring the Super Hero Squad, Good vs. Evil and the X-Men. This line just gets better and better with the addition of Thanos, Dormammu, Bullseye, and a pretty powerhouse roster of the X-Men, including Professor X, Cyclops, Storm, Beast and Nightcrawler.

New McDonalds Brave and the Bold Toys

Hurrijak had the heads up on the upcoming Batman Brave and the Bold McDonalds toys. In August, McDonalds released a set of 8 Batman Brave and the Bold toys, but this time they’re going all out with the following list from Hurrijak:

3)Aquaman, Batman Robot, Black Manta
4)Batman, Riddler, Plastic Man(as a car)

Marvel Squinkies Series 1 and 2 in Stores

Both the carded Marvel Squinkies Series 1 and 2, and the blind packs, have started arriving at stores. The carded Marvel Squinkies, as suspected, feature identical characters in series 1 and 2, with one set being solid and one being translucent (with a “flame on” Human Torch) and are mixed in with the new “boy” lines of Squinkies.

Marvel Squinkies Series 1 and 2 revealed

We have more news on the Marvel Squinkies (a couple weeks back we first mentioned Marvel Squinkies in light of post-Toy Fair photos). This time, Bigredmachine17 has pictures of the series one and two cardbacks! At this time, an impromptu checklist shows that the known roster will be:

Series 1

X300 Green Goblin
X301 Spider-Man
X302 Doctor Doom
X303 Magneto
X304 Thing
X305 Captain America
X306 Iron Man
X307 Wolverine
X308 Silver Surfer
X309 Thor
X310 Human Torch (flame off)

Punisher, Kingpin and Daredevil are the three figures from the first picture that are still missing in action, and the series two figures appear to be (at least for some figures) translucent versions of their series 1 counterparts. We’ll bring you more news on this line as it develops.

Edit: 4/2/11 – There’s pictures of the blind packs on eBay floating around that reveal the mystery characters/numbers from Series 1 and 2 so I’ve updated the list.

Marvel Squinkies

Bigredmachine17 posted news about an upcoming line of Squinkies featuring Marvel super heroes! Shown in the picture are Hulk, Nick Fury, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, Daredevil, Thor, Iron Man, Green Goblin, Magneto, Thing, Captain America, Kingpin, Iron Man (again), Wolverine, Silver Surfer, and possibly the Invisible Woman (it’s definitely a small picture… I suppose it could be a flame-off Human Torch).

I haven’t found any word yet on when they’ll be released, or how many figures will be in the set, but if they’re like the current lines of Squinkies, they’ll come carded on sheets of 16 for about $10.

Thundercats are Go!

Wait… wrong franchise, though it raises an interesting question about whether the Thundercats would chase and eat the Thunderbirds.

Anyway, Brian pointed out that at London’s Toy Fair 2011 a new 1:18 scale (4 inches) Thundercats line was shown by Bandai, while RRNN points us to the first art of the upcoming Thundercats relaunch and news of an 8 inch collector’s line (by way of Topless Robot)

Preziosi Marvel Heroes Collection

As an update to the continuing saga of the Preziosi Marvel Heroes Collection, Toon brings word of some of the Italian sculpts being released in Europe in blind packs. Doctor Octopus, Mr. Fantastic, Thing and Captain America can now round out (some of) your collections. For fans of the US release, the UK single packs have a series of biography cards similar to the hologram cards inserted in some of the US packs. US fans can currently pick up the ten sculpts released by the now-defunct Playground Maniacs in two carded five-packs available at Toys R Us.

Nightstar and Juuuggs did a team-up of news of upcoming Classic Marvel Figurine Collection and DC Comics Super Hero Collection releases. First up, Thor’s big daddy, Odin, is the 16th special issue in the line, while on the DC front, Blackest Night gets it’s own subset featuring Black Hand in issue 1, and Atrocitus in issue 2! Black Manta and Kyle Rayner (in his modern Green Lantern costume) round out the DC main line, and Nightstar also shares a conversation he had with Alan Cowsill and Richard Jackson of Eaglemoss at NYCC concerning the possibility of Death’s Head and Death’s Head II.
