Marvel Universe News Round-Up 4-12-11
Brian’s been collecting Marvel Universe news from around the web this week and here’s a shortcut:
First up, the newest wave of Marvel Universe Gigantic Battles figures, featuring Bill Foster’s Goliath facing off against Ragnarok the clone Thor, and Loki teamed with a Frost Giant, are showing up at Wal-Mart.
Then he points us to Toyark where you can see pictures of the new Captain America movie Red Skull (as well as Captain America in a parka and in a few other costumes)
And his latest Marvel Universe poll wrapped up with Thanos as the winner, beating out Constrictor and crushing Yellowjacket.
Marvel Universe Wave 10 Reviews and Voting
Brian’s got Marvel Universe Wave 10 up for voting so you can show your love for Mystique, Captain Britian, Ghost Rider, Madrox or… even that Wolverine hold-over if you really want to. Meanwhile, he’s got an in depth review of the Marvel Universe Skrull Soldier for you alien sympathizers.
Marvel Universe Wave 9 Poll
Brian’s got a new poll running for the best figure of Marvel Universe Wave 9. He’s opened up voting to the entire range of Marvel Universe Wave 9 action figures, including variants like the Norman Osborn head Iron Patriot variant, and short and long haired Winter Soldier. So head on over and make your voice heard!
Marvel Universe Black Ronin variant
Brian points out that over on Toy Ark, someone’s found a black variant of the Marvel Universe Ronin figure. It’s a figure discussed since practically the dawn of the line when a passing reference was made to black and charcoal versions of the figure, but no black Ronin ever appeared. Until, that is, apparently Wave 12, Rev. 5. There’s talk about possibly having revised the legs, based upon the figure’s stance, but until someone can open or otherwise inspect the figure it’s all speculation.
New Marvel Universe Pictures At Toy Fair 2011
And in what may be the most awesome news to come out of Toy Fair 2011 so far, here’s a gallery of some of the Marvel Universe 3.75 inch action figures coming soon, including X-23, Doctor Strange, Wonder Man and Quicksilver, new Namor, Doctor Doom and Ultron figures, Skaar, Falcon and Darkhawk, classic looks for Iron Fist and Luke Cage aka Power Man, and of course, Captain Britain going old-school with his third recent figure (he’s already had a Marvel Universe figure, plus his Captain America figure), and not to mention the Invisible Woman and HERBIE figures Marvelousnews has pictures of, so view the figures after the jump.

First off, thanks to thecollector22 for the tip-off.

Ages 3 and up.
And if 3.75 inch figures are more your thing, you can buy the single Iron Man Armored Avenger figures here, including (for now at least) the new drone and an army of Iron Man repaints. Want the 3.75 inch Thor figures? Then prepare to buy a case, which will get you 3 each of the three Thor figures, Odin and Loki. That’s only 11 figures you say, and not the full 12 they say are in a case? Very perceptive, but you’ll have to take that up with Hasbro… we’re only sharing their information. Edit: Or rely on someone like pj4life who’ll actually read the description and see that the 12th figure is the Frost Giant! D’oh.
