Mattel Q&A – Giant Infinite Heroes, Missing Titans, Metamorpho-no,
And catching up with Mattel Q&A’s… wait… IF the Infinite Heroes line continues? On with the Questions!
1) At Toy Fair we saw that Ravager (and unless we’re mistaken, Wonder Woman from the Starro pack) has the new articulation. Are there any plans to give any other female characters in the DC Infinite Heroes line the new articulation?
As we get to new figures in this scale we will incorporate all levels of current articulation and continue to always improve!
2) With the IH numbering discontinued for the 75th Anniversary packaging, will we ever find out who Figure 41, Figure 44, Figure 50, Figure 55, and Figure 57 were?
We’ll try to publish a full list of released figures in the near future.
3) Since we know that a 12″ Tytus and the C&C DCUC figures are possible, will we ever see a larger scale IH figure? More specifically, will we ever see a larger scale humanoid IH figure? Since we know (and are psyched about!) Starro will be offered at SDCC this year.
If the Infinite Heroes line continues then this would be a great way to get out some new news for the line!
4) The Action League Metamorpho is packaged as the Element Man. Is that a result of the name being trademarked, and if so, have you considered an approach like Marvel’s (i.e. calling the figure “DC’s Metamorpho”)?
The name “Element Man” was the name DC provided for this figure in package.
6) So far we know that a couple different teams are only missing a member or two, like Beast Boy/Changeling for the New Teen Titans, Kid Flash for the Flash family, Alan Scott for the JSA, Captain Cold for the Rogues, and Superboy (although he might be unavailable due to legal issues?) for the even newer Teen Titans/Young Justice. Have these absences been intentionally planned out or have they just sort of been victims of happenstance where no “right time” arose for these characters to be released?
All of these are just happenstance. No one has been initially left off the table and we do have plans to finish off these teams as soon as we can. Definitely don’t read into anything!
Now off to the message board to discuss!
The Full Mattel SDCC Exclusive Reveals
Mattycollector.com has the full line-up of Mattel SDCC 2010 figures:
Now, one awesome thing about the Justice League of America set is that it comes with the first Wonder Woman in the new female body! She’s got a classic hair, but kicking legs so bye-bye v-cut! Flash, Martian Manhunter and Aquaman all look like V3 bodies, while Starro is just awesome.
SDCC Infinite Heroes Starro and Aquaman!
Amongst the Mattel SDCC reveals on G4TV’s Attack of the Show was a Brave and the Bold #28 Boxed Set set with Starro! Shown were Aquaman (making his Infinite Heroes debut, and sure to make this set a big seller), Martian Manhunter, Hal Jordan, Barry Allen as the Flash, and Wonder Woman. Brave and the Bold 28 was the first appearance of the Justice League of America, featuring the fabulous five-some battling the otherworldly conqueror Starro. Batman and Superman are noticeably absent, but that’s ok, we have enough of those guys, right? Head over to the message board to talk about it!
Oh, and Orko and Prince Adam are pretty cool too… but it would be even cooler if we actually get a chance to get them.
OMAC Attacks at Wal-Mart.com
WeaponEversor pointed this out yesterday but unfortunately, I didn’t have time to post: The Infinite Heroes OMAC Attacks 6-pack is available at Wal-Mart.com. Although we don’t have a set in hand yet, Booster Gold and Maxwell Lord are going to go a long way to rounding out the Bwah-ha-ha era Justice League, all those OMACs make great army fodder!

Shazam as the Wizard!
Over at Action Figure Insider’s forums, there’s an awesome thread about the new Infinite Heroes figures showing up, including one surprise: the Billy Batson Captain Marvel as the Wizard figure! For those that don’t know, after the Rock of Eternity was shattered, Billy Batson took the Wizard Shazam’s place. Who’s left for the modern Captain Marvel family? Captain Marvel Jr.? Isis? Head over to the Rumor Buster’s message board to discuss.

New Infinite Heroes!
BStone was absolutely on the ball when he found the first sets of new Infinite Heroes showing up on eBay, complete with new “75 Years of Super Power” packaging (featuring a bubble for Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman, as opposed to the old Monitor hand packaging) and the new collectible button. Auctions include
a Joker repaint (with hat), the long-awaited Two-Face, the Earth-2 Robin, a Hal Jordan Green Lantern with new articulation, and a Black Canary repaint. The only one missing from Big Bad Toy Store’s previous Infinite Heroes pre-order listing is Firestorm, who showed up recently on eBay in the old packaging as figure 58.
