Combat Heroes Update
Clanure has updated the Combat Heroes checklist with information and pictures of the new movie wave with, naturally, plenty of gallery pictures. You can, as always, talk about them over on the Combat Heroes section of the message board.
New Combat Heroes Shots
And while we were posting about gallery updates, Dirge was busy posting shots of new Combat Heroes, both the Real Action Hero style and Rise of Cobra movie figures.
Combat Heroes Cobra 5-Pack
It’s Clanure’s mission to have the gallery’s 20,000th image view, so he’s uploaded pictures of the uber-rare Combat Heroes Cobra 5-pack, along with comparison shots of the repaint figures, and while it’s a dastardly plan, I think he’ll succeed. He’s also updated the Combat Heroes section of the wiki with those great new figures! Now go give him a round of applause for the great photos!
SHS, MU, Wolverine and Infinite Heroes Gallery Updates
While today’s gallery update may not have a lot of photos although it does bring us up to 3650 images. Since the regular camera was unavailable, we only took front-facing profile pictures for now and we’ll put all-around shots up later. And now for the rundown:
X-Men Origins: Wolverine Cyclops and Iceman, and the Jim Lee costume Sabretooth and Wolverine from the Toys R Us Exclusive set
Marvel Universe Wave 4 Blade. Wave 3 is up too, mostly, with the rest coming soon.
Marvel Universe Running Change Spider-Man v.1 and some Spider-Man comparison shots (along with a comparison shot of the Ms. Marvel figures, and a quick headswap Moonstone as Ms. Marvel figure.)
Ms. Marvel and the Gotham Knights 3-Pack (Batman, Deadshot and Scarecrow) Infinite Heroes figures
The City in Crisis/Spider-Man Saves the Day and Winter Soldier Saga figures, including comparison shots of the Sandman and Captain America figures. And in other Super Hero Squad figures, pre-production figures of Ultimate Wolverine and stretched Mr. Fantastic, whom Clanure has previously uploaded full profile shots and an Invisible Woman comparison shot. Then there’s the Super Teams Fantastic Four pre-production Thing figure and a comparison shot with the Arachno-Racer Thing.
And finally, we come to Clanure’s ever cool What I Got folder with the new Combat Heroes Cobra 5-pack (with the background image showing the G.I. Joe 5-pack), a pre-production Nighthawk, and a Robot Heroes Devastator!
More unreleased Combat Heroes?
Dirge also sent along a photo of some unpainted Combat Heroes. Although ID’ing the figures is hard, it looks like the cowboy hat gun-toter is a Wild Bill figure, and hopefully some of you with more GI Joe knowledge than I can recognize a few others and identify them over on the board!

The Future of Combat Heroes
It’s not uncommon for rumors of a line’s death to circle (ask Super Hero Squad fans), but many have feared Combat Heroes was on life support ever since Wave 3 was announced, then canceled. Of course, a few days ago Combat Heroes Wave 3 pictures started showing up on the toy news sites, which was obviously a good sign.
Then jestergoblin (check out his super hero haikus by the way) pointed us to Toyark’s news of an upcoming Walmart set featuring Xamot and Tamox, gold Destro, Baroness and Cobra Commander. There’s more pictures over at Taobao.
And now Dirge reveals pictures of what looks like either a “Training Movie Snake Eyes or Training Movie Storm Shadow”.

See? Looks pretty cool and hopefully with the movie only 3 months away we’ll find out who it is soon!
One thing is certain though… there’s an awful lot of activity going on for a line many of us had written off as dead not that long ago! Here’s hoping that more cool surprises are right around the corner!
Combat Heroes Wave 3
Although Combat Heroes Wave 3 has been rumored as canceled, Cool Toy Review has put up some promotional photos of the wave, and of course, Clanure already put up packaged and loose photos of the figures over in the gallery. This is the wave with Gung-Ho & Cobra Commander, Lady Jaye & Major Bludd, Shipwreck & Crimson Guard, and Snake EYes & Cobra Viper, and some of the best sculpts so far, for those that aren’t too familiar.
