Yeah, my question suggestions weren't the best, and the one about characters/release dates is bad timing, but we can save it for a few months.  I just wanted to add to the question pool.

Here's another question or two:

(1) Will we be seeing any more Action League multi-packs like the TRU 6-pack?
(2) Each Action League 2-pack comes carded on a cool background.  Is there any chance you'll put the backgrounds online so fans can print larger versions for their displays?

I thought the comment about fan polls was interesting too.  They're watching sites like this and the heavy hitters, it's still hard to quantify our data.  Any given site has only a handful of voices, and a couple people making a ruckus can really make it seem like a certain figure or a particular toyline is the worst thing in the world or the greatest idea ever, but that doesn't necessarily translate into actual sales.  It sort of goes back to the conundrum about female figures... I've never EVER heard someone say they wouldn't pick up a female figure, and there's always lots of support for a particular few (Catwoman, Fire) but Mattel apparently has historical sales data that these figures won't sell in a "boys" line like the 5-inch Brave and the Bold.

LOL :D...Man do I feel dumb. Thanks bro.

I have a new question: With the huge popularity of mininatures, Are you considering making JLU miniatures?

Yeah, I know the answer is no but they should know that we want them. >:(

Oh, and while I am bummed that Action League is going to remain show specific, I appreciate that there's been a lot of great characters featured so far, and more to come.

There are more unmade characters from the show than some toy lines will ever get, so even if we only squeeze out another couple waves, it'll still end up being a pretty nice collection.

I agree, and with the show's penchant for dropping lots of little cameos in, I think the potential for characters is ever-increasing. It'll get to the point where it won't matter after a while that they only make figures from the show, because you won't be able to tell the difference.

Y'know, I didn't mean for my comments to come off the way they did. There really are no bad questions, and this should definitely be treated as a brain-storming session, where we all throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks.

I was just posting observations, and I hope I didn't ofend anyone. I actually did think the Secret Saturday question about nailing down specifically which figures had made it to production/distribution was a good one, but I made it sound like any and all Secret saturday questions were bad questions, which simply isn't true, as I'm sure fans of the line would agree.

I do think we need to plan the scheduling of certain questions to coincide with when we think we'll actually get an answer to them (ie after Toyfair for some) but I don't want anyone here thinking I'm pooping on their questions.

Because I just wouldn't do that. Poop on their questions I mean.

LOL, it's ok, I've got thick skin.  Even if you WERE trying to poo-poo my questions, it probably wouldn't have phased me.

As far as I'm concerned, let the poll eat the bad questions!

I agree that these make for a great brain-storming session though.  We've all seen the Q&A's where we want to bang our fist to our head because the question was worded in a certain way that left things vague, or didn't really get to the point, and by going through a bit of a roundtable discussion we can really weed out some questions that may not work, have bad timing or could use a bit of a tweak.  It'll also help cut down on some of the duplicate questions that sometimes pop up.  If Mattel gives the same non-answer three Q&As in a row, the fourth probably won't be the magic one and the question should be retired for a few rounds.

I am in full agreement that we should all pick apart the suggested questions to further expand or improve on them to get the best results possible. No nonsense honesty is the best way to get things done IMO

Mattel (or anyone doing these types of Q&As) is like a genie. You can wish for something, but it doesn't mean you're going to get what you wished for.  The more well defined and specific our questions are, the better.  And your right.. that's why the questions pretty much failed last round.

I'm definitely up for a more refined question about the Saturdays figures in all the lines as to what has actually "made it to retail"... but it's just horrible timing.  Then again, I don't want to be waiting for stuff to come out that I may never see.  But who here really thinks Mattel will hand us over a list of the characters confirmed to have been made?

I'm just glad that we've had the participation in this Q&A stuff that we have, lol, so thank you all!  I also agree that we should use this thread to sort of tweak the questions and so forth.

Also, just a reminder, but we're going to start the next poll on Sunday so that we have a week for the poll before we send the questions in.

Ok, so I didn't get the poll up and ready on Sunday like I said, but at least there's still enough to time to get a decent amount of voting done before the questions need to be sent in on the 1st.

So vote away, people!

Pssst... the poll was locked.   NOW you guys can go vote!  I don't want to be the first vote (because then everyone will know what I picked) so someone else has to vote first!

I voted but I got a question for the next round.

Does Mattel have any plans on adding holes for pegs in the feet of the Brave and the Bold Action League figures? Many of the figures like Batman, Aquaman and the Top suffer from difficulty standing.

I have a question for the next round too;

Mattel, the Batman Action League figures that are in a running position are extremely hard to stand.  Most of them end up lying on their backs after a few minutes.  Collectors and kids alike have expressed their frustration with this issue.  Can this leg pose be retired? There are many great leg sculpts that work great.

Okay, Questions.  I'm unloading them this time because I constantly forget what I wanted to ask.

- It was last stated that there are no new plans for The Secret Saturdays. Is it possible to provide us a list of the items that have actually made it to retail? The Griffin Attack Jet Vehicle that appeared last month, has advertisement for Fiskerton and Piecemeal and well as other figures due out in "April 2010" leading to confusion of their fate.

- There are extra entries on The Secret Saturday's Cryptipedia for Komodo, Duah, Tapire-Iauara and the Amarok. Coincidentally these are the same cryptids featured in the TRU exclusive pack, however the pack comes with the same cards as the single non-exclusive cryptids.  Can we have an explanation?

- Now that the suggestion has been "passed along" for the inclusion of The Music Meister in the BatB lines, due to the episode's and character's popularity, is there any chance of also considering making him in a few of his different ensembles? The Action League line hasn't said no to doing repeats of characters before, and our beloved maestro of villainy just begs for it.
