Yeah, we all figured this day would finally come, :P re-colored figures of bats that don’t really make any sense. They are apparently making a re-colored black suit diving suit bats(or Batman #8) and a black suit of the jetpack bats(Batman #6). I wonder who they are pairing them up with?  ???

I wasn’t sure if they were just customed ones at first but I looked into it and they are the real deal. A guy from Hong Kong is selling them and he also has many of the B3 AC that we have seen in the past that haven't reached the US yet.  He also has a classic Blue Beetle, which is something that I haven’t seen for sale before. So, for those reasons I am figuring they must be legit.  ;D

I'd rather get dumb repaints over worthless repacks.

Winner winner chicken dinner!  Check it out:

How's that for a first post, eh?  I found it on eBay:You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

The location is listed as Ohio ... and it looks like this is sort of a small, refresher wave, featuring just Wildcat & Black Lightning, Guy Gardner vs. Dr. Polaris, and Batman vs. Scarecrow.  Which means there is still plenty more around the corner ... right, Clayface? :P

@Toxin Great find. That Ted Kord sure is shifty lookin' I wouldn't trust him to hold my wallet.

@HowtoMakeaMonster: Thats the way to walk into a room!!

By the way, if anyone is looking for Wave 1 or 2 (not singles) my local stores are flooded with them. Including vehicles and the TRU pack.

First of all, HowToMakeAMonster is like, one of the coolest names on this forum.

Second of all, that beats the hell out of my first post. (I can't remember what it was but this blew it away like a fart in the wind) great find!

Interesting... I wonder if Ted Kord is being held back for a later wave or packed into a vehicle set. He's the last character from the poster who is, other than the prototype shown at SDCC and the one now on ebay, unaccounted for.

First of all thanks guys, hope you enjoyed the Super bowl.

@HowToMakeAMonster, Now, that's money! Killer find bro, and welcome to the forum.  ;D
Yet, now I am totally confused. So, are they going to start to refresh some of the figures in the line now,... Really? Now that would just plain $uck. It's not like it was a huge time ago that those other figures appeared. They're from the last wave for God sake. Maybe the rumor of the show ending soon are true. Why would they bother making new figures if the cartoon is ending. It would then make sense to make messed up repaints and repeat some figures. On a good not at least we know that Black Lightning and Wild cat come together in a set, but it does look like Scarecrow will with Batman #1(Bats with baterang.)

@DrFrankStein. That's exactly what I thought. He looks like he is about to hold someone up. LOL! :D

@Lobsterman. I think that more than likely he will be paired up with Red Tornado variant because he and RT are the last figures from the SDCC.

Great find there!

Anywho, latest review is up... Batman versus the Joker! If you're on the fence about this line, this set is a great one to dip your toes with. Batman is Batman but Joker is a great little figure.

I still can't tell if I like Wildcat from the picture in that auction, but I'll give Mattel serious credit for making show-relevant 2-packs.  My favorite SHS 2-packs are the ones that make sense (MODOK and Iron Man, for instance, or Scarlet Witch and just about any Avenger that isn't Spider-Man, Thor + 1 or Abomination + 1, but not Thor + Abomination).  Awesome find HowToMakeAMonster!

And Toxin, there's those black-costume Batman repaints!  We knew they were going to be coming at some point.

I am pleased to report I've come to a conclusion as to this mysterious fellow; no, he is certainly not Killer Moth.  Who is he?  The denizen of some far-flung planet to be seen later?  A new supervillain who will inevitably pop-up to challenge the Caped Crusader?  One of the hordes of monstrous goons who do the bidding of some megalomaniac madman?

No.  I have discovered who he is.

He's a character from TOY STORY 3, a prototype of a figure that will presumably be included in a later pack with other TOY STORY 3 movie characters, also by Mattel.

Let's hope that Toy Fair will show us more Action League figures on the horizon.

That is EFFING HILARIOUS!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I love it.

All that, and he's a Toy Story Buddy!

Too effing amazing.

But that does go to show you how streamlined Mattel has gotten with their Mini's stylization. One could argue that it's as interchangeable as Hasbor's Hero-Style. So now instead of just Hasbor Heroes Style, we have Mattel Mini Style.

That's a knee-splapper, that one.

Thank you for that. Made my day.

Good catch!  I signed in just to give you some karma and put the story on the front page.  The Toy Story buddies all look kind of small to me, while he looked very Action League ish, so I would love to see him in some sort of context (with other buddies or Action Leagues) but in the meantime, that would sort of explain why nobody's been able to find out his identity!  Again, great catch!

Thanks guys. just pleased that I have clumsily stumbled across actual, worthwhile contributions!

On that note, I know everything is sort of in question since the cartoon is "indefinitely on hiatus," and while I don't have anything firm to indicate otherwise, here is at least a shred of hope: the Washington Post!  They've got a small article discussing properties at Toy Fair this year, and check this out:

Quote
Warner Bros. Consumer Products will present product related to new films "Jonah Hex" and "Guardians of Ga'Hoole." It also will serve fans of TV favorites "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" and "Scooby-Doo," with the launch of a toy line that includes a Scooby plush figure and a Ghost Patrol Mystery Machine.

Here's the full article, but that's the only mention.  Not much, but something: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Let's all cross our fingers.
