Train museums!  I thought that was a myth used to scare me!  Those realistic mini-dioramas are pretty cool. I always wish I had the power to paint mini-things. 

The latest Misc Merc I found, SHS Boxing Gloves.  One fist is heroes: Hawkeye, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man.  One fist is villains: Magneto, Doc. Octopus, Doctor Doom (and I think Carnage, but I'd have to double check.  I've already forgotten, but the picture shows red webbing).  Spotted at K-Mart.

Awesome! I have got to find a set of those. I have an 80lb heavy bag and a speed bag that my son loves to work out with me on. He would really love it wearing a pair of those!

And today's discovery: the Super Hero Squad flashlight/projector thing with interchangeable lenses (spotted on eBay, don't know who the manufacturer is) and the SHS Birthday cards from Hallmark.  I've seen two so far, a foil one for 4th birthdays, and another non-foil one to give to nephews.

Four Super Hero Squad Show related Burger King kids meal toys.

Shield Flying Captain America
Gamma Glow Hulk
Real Scene Silver Surfer
Iron Man's Light-Up Unibeam

I have to say that I think the weakest of these is the Unibeam.  It's basically just a light up keychain.  The other three have actual characters, but they're action characters... Captain America is mounted on a shield shooting platform, Hulk's arms go up and down and Silver Surfer somehow activates a "magical scene" with Galactus behind him.  I still have fond memories of the 90's era fast food toys featuring mini-action figures (and I believe the first ever Mary Jane figure, for those keeping track)

I still have fond memories of the Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog happy meal toys from the early 90's.  *Sigh* where have all the good happy meal toys gone?

I picked up the Captain America BK toy this afternoon (I forgot to pack a lunch and thought it was a great opportunity to pick a kids meal toy up.  Mistake.  A bus full of 9 year olds had just come in and they were running around, running back up to the registers and cutting in line to buy extra stuff and doing all around obnoxious stuff like grabbing half and half containers to drink.)

It's not the most obnoxious thing I've ever seen.  It's certainly not a must-have toy by any stretch of the imagination, but I found it was worth the $1 it cost.  Cap's shooting disks are paper spheres, and the figure itself looks more cartoon style than toy line style, but like I said... it's $1, compared to $7 plus tax for a two-pack or $12 or so for a four-pack so if I was trying to come up with something to entertain my kid, I'd definitely picking one up.  Surfer and Hulk were the two I was most interested in, but I probably won't head back to a restaurant to get them.

Absolutely... I had some Cap figures all set up for photographing the comparisons yesterday but then my camera battery died.  It's first thing on my to-do list for tomorrow though, followed by the Brave and the Bold Action League stuff.

Comparison pictures of the regular Super Hero Squad and Burger King Super Hero Squad Show toys for everyone...  the BK figure is obviously larger than actual SHS figures, even if you don't consider the shooting base, but for $1, it's not the worst deal.

May daughter got Cap the other day - he's a lot of fun to play with!  The disc shooter works quite well.

Any clues as to what you were planning? 

I was actually hoping the disks would be made of plastic or something sturdier, but oh well.

I was planning to use that Cap to make a Quicksilver custom.

Picked up Silver Surfer today. Not a bad item, really. He's got more weight to him than I'd expected. I'll bet you dollars to donuts that these Kids MEal toys cost more to make than the actual SHS figures themselves.

atgscl... I guess you're right, it won't work for a Quicksilver.   I think these figures would be great to use as bases for the Frost Giant SHS from the Super Hero Squad video game (Loki basically dresses Frost Giants up like the SHS and you fight two of these hulking monsters for a very brief battle, at least I think that was the reasoning)

They'd also probably work to form an SHS version of the Avengers Founder's statue ( You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login )
