Super Hero Squad Show Toys at Burger King

December 8th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Animated, Super Hero Squad

The next big Burger King promotion is… Super Hero Squad Show toys! Four Super Hero Squad Show related Burger King kids meal toys are out there, consisting of Shield Flying Captain America, Gamma Glow Hulk, Real Scene Silver Surfer, Iron Man’s Light-Up Unibeam. They’re not “real” figures, and the Unibeam doesn’t actually have any figure at all, but for collectors of all the wild Super Hero Squad miscellaneous merchandise (and of course, both kids and collectors alike) it might be a great addition.

The second part of Marvel’s Handful of Heroes gallery is now up featuring more miniature Hasbro goodies. This gallery update is very Iron Man, Wolverine and Hulk intensive, but there’s also some shots of Ironclad, Nightcrawler, Deadpool, Nick Fury, and Green Goblin amongst others. Now we just wait until Wave 2. Head over the to the message board to discuss.

Top 50 Super Hero Squad Multipack Poll

December 6th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Super Hero Squad

Continuing our ongoing series of polls, the Top 50 Super Hero Squad Multipack Poll is now live. It’s a modified version of previous polls, allowing you to vote for any combination of multi-pack, so long as it’s already been used. Basically, combinations of 4, 5, 5 with a mega-sized figure and 8 figures are posted, and you get to show your support for the combinations you would most like to see. These polls are intended as an ongoing gauge of what figures, variants and sets are currently topping your most-wanted lists.

If you haven’t already voted in the Top 100 Most Wanted Super Hero Squad Figures, or the Top 75 Most Wanted Alternate Versions, then head over and vote on those while you’re at it.

Marvel Universe Gallery Update

December 6th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Universe, Mezco

Although I’d planned a larger Marvel Universe gallery update, I broke it into two parts so I could get it out quicker. Today’s update, however, includes Marvel Universe Secret Wars Wave 2 (Spider-Woman, Iron Man, Magneto, Spider-Man, Cyclops and the Hulk), the Toys R Us exclusive Marvel Universe henchmen 3-pack featuring the Hydra Agent, SHIELD Agent and Hand Ninja, and the glossy Red Hulk. Also included is a loose comparison of the glossy and matte Marvel Universe Red Hulks.

And to spare me from making another post, the Mezco Cinema of Fear Tiny Terrors checklist has now been updated.

Cinema of Fear Gallery Update

December 6th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Mezco, Super Hero Squad

Last night we added the Cinema of Fear Tiny Terrors to the gallery so you can see Freddy, Jason and Leatherface in all their tiny glory. In a related note, although they weren’t nice enough to merit gallery entry, a few days ago I snapped some quick pictures of changes in the Super Hero Squad rereleased figures. Like I said, the pictures were just quick snaps taken for the board, but they show some of the things completists need to look for when hunting these new packs, specifically Captain America’s new eyes (Red Skull’s eyes are different too, pupil circles instead of crescent moons), and the Human Torch’s new color gradient. Tombstone’s color change didn’t come out too well in the photos due to the camera’s flash, but we do have a small gallery of the packaged definitely changed Super Hero Squad rereleases. We’re hard at work with a big Marvel Universe gallery update and hope to have that up soon.

Cinema of Fears versus the Super Hero Squad and Action League

Marvel Universe Wave 7 Lineup

December 3rd, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Universe

Beast pointed out that Marvel Universe Wave 7 (or 2010 Wave 2) loose and carded photos are out, with Golden Age Captain America and Bucky, Black Widow, Luke Cage and Thor to round out the collection! We’re waiting on confirmation about things like Black Widow’s alternate wigs and whether or not the Extremis Iron Man is in this wave or not, but that doesn’t stop you from heading over to check out those photos! And of course, you can jump back to the board to discuss!

Action League Injustice League

December 3rd, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Brave and the Bold Action League

Toxin posted some pictures from an overseas seller featuring the Injustice League action league figures featuring repaints of Plastic Man, Atom (Dyna-Mite), and Red Tornado (Silver Cyclone). They’re great, sensible repaints of Brave and the Bold Action League figures, but hopefully more news on these figures will be coming soon!
