Merry Early Christmas!
I know Christmas is less than a week away, but we couldn’t wait to let you in on one of the cool things we’ve been working on to make The Rumorbuster even better in the new year.
We’re gonna be participating in Mattel’s Q&A program!
Each month on the 1st & 15th we’ll submit questions to Mattel to be answered. We’ll get the answers back in 2 weeks when we submit more questions.
We are allowed a total of 5 questions that can be about any action figure line Mattel is producing (for example; DC lines, Masters of the Universe, etc.).
Our first round of questions are due on the 1st, so hurry over to the board to tell us what questions you want Mattel to answer!
Super Hero Squad Kraven in 2010
ActionFigs.com has finally cracked the nut that is Hasbro and convinced them to reveal that Kraven is on the Super Hero Squad slate for Fall 2010. Additionally, they had some good news about the unreleased four packs, or at least the figures in those packs:
ActionFigs: Any updates on the Super Hero Squad 4-Packs that weren’t released in the United States? Winter Soldier Saga, Spider-Man Saves The Day, The New Fantastic Four, The Defenders, Secret Invasion Begins, and Secret Wars. There’s a lot of figures in those boxed sets that we’ve been wanting for a long time to fill out teams.
Hasbro: Look for these figures in our 2010 2-pack lineup…
Beast mentioned this over on the board, so head on over there to discuss this great news.
Lockjaw and Arana make their Super Hero Squad Debuts!
While I’d love to announce that both Lockjaw and Araña (or “Arana” for those too lazy to look for the right letter) are getting figures, we currently have to settle with appearances in the comic book and strip. In this week’s Super Hero Squad issue 4, Reptil rescues Lockjaw who mysteriously manages to follow him whereever he goes, while Araña appears as one of many background characters in the December 8th Super Hero Squad strip.
The Battle for Doom’s Castle up for pre-order
Entertainmentearth is listing the newest Super Hero Squad playset, the Battle for Doom’s Castle as a January pre-order. Eagle-eyed fans will remember that this is the set with the newest Doctor Doom sculpt, making it the first playset to give us more than just a repaint. While this is a trend fans of the playsets may enjoy, others may be put off at the thought of paying $20 for the first Doctor Doom released since Super Hero Squad Wave 3
Brave and the Bold Action League Wave 3 in the Gallery
For those still looking for Brave and the Bold Action League Wave 3, hopefully this gallery update will whet your appetite. Doctor Fate, Wotan, the Demon Etrigan, Joker, the Top, Blue Bowman, Owlman and, naturally, Batman are all represented. And as an extra special treat, we’ve added the Atom single pack as well. Head over to the Rumor Buster Message Board to join in the discussion!

Infinite Heroes And DC’s 75th Anniversary
In the first 2010 solicitations for DC’s Infinite Heroes, an interesting nugget came came up:
Long time collectors and newcomers alike will scramble to get their hands on these collectible figures. With bold colors and dramatic detail, this line features your favorites along with a whole army of heroes and villains. Figures are offered in collectible 3 inch scale. To celebrate DC Comics 75th anniversary, every figure will include a numbered, collectible button. Ages 4 and over.
Mattel has teased that a 2010 theme will spread across its DC lines, specifically DCUC and IH, in honor of DC’s 75th Anniversary, so while we hope it’s more than just a numbered collectible button, we hope to get more information soon! In the meantime, jump over to the message board to discuss.
Infinite Heroes Gallery Update: Public Enemies and More
The long awaited Infinite Heroes Public Enemies gallery update is up. We’ve also got some random shots, including the mysterious translucent Adam Strange figure that popped up internationally, and oodles of comparison shots between the Public Enemies figures and their regular Infinite Heroes counterparts, along with some odds and ends such as President Lex Luthor and the Question and Grodd and Mallah. And in honor of the Public Heroes gallery update, here’s a gallery of screencaps from the Superman/Batman Public Enemies movie.
