In honor of tomorrow’s premiere of the Super Hero Squad Show, we’ve gone through and updated the main Super Hero Squad Show page with all the information known so far, an extensive cast and character list along with all the little tidbits we know about so far, like the Helicarrier, Megataur, the Lava Lab, Infinity Fractals and the Infinity Sword.

We’ve also started an episode guide with the information we have so far, consisting mostly of some episode descriptions, character appearances, and a few more episode titles. Obviously, as the show goes on we’ll have more information.

In the meantime, feel free to join the discussion over on the Super Hero Squad Show message board and be back tomorrow when we’ll have some early impressions.

Super Hero Squad and Action League Galleries updated

September 12th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Brave and the Bold Action League, Marvel Universe, Super Hero Squad

These weekend gallery updates are getting to be a semi-regular thing. This week, we have Brave and the Bold Action League Wave 2 (Green Arrow, Sportsmaster, Ocean Master, B’wana Beast and Metamorpho… I mean Rex Mason the Element Man) and the Gentleman Ghost/Batman/Horse set (including a shot of the glow-in-the-dark plastic at work)

Next up, we have Super Hero Squad Wolverine Wave 3, featuring the Wolverine Evolution and X-Cutioner’s Song sets.

And of course, there’s comparison shots to help the collector’s out. X-Cutioner’s Song Wolverine and the Wave 7 Psylocke/Wolverine figures, the three current iterations of the first Cyclops figure, and even the X-Men Movie Costume Wolverine and the Ultimate Wolverine figures, shot 1, shot 2, and shot 3.

In a related note, here’s a quick comparison of the flame trail for the Avengers Super City Iron Man and the Secret Invasion Iron Man. You’ll notice that the only easily discernible difference is the detail and number of lines in the vapor trail.

X-Men Origins Wolverine gets the start of a small update, with a shot of Colossus from the Wolverine/Colossus deluxe set, but the battery needs to charge before we can finish that particular photo shoot. Rest assured though, he’s HUGE compared to the XOW Wolverine figures.

As always, feel free to join us on the board for discussion!

Another run down of some news briefs… first off, Marvel’s Facebook page has new Super Hero Squad Show images. Of course, if you run your mouse over the pictures, you’ll get all kinds of interesting information, such as, scrolling over the thumbnails of an Iron Man scene, you’ll see “Who is the original creator of Dr. Doom?” Whether that means there’s a new origin story for Doom, we’ll hopefully find out next week when th show premieres.

Meanwhile, Actionfigpics.com is reporting that the Masters of the Universe Classics Moss Man figure will get spot flocking.

And TV Shows on DVD says that Justice League complete series will have season 1 in fullscreen, Season 2 in widescreen, and the JLU episodes in anamorphic widescreen.

First off, DCUC Wave 12 is announced in Toyfare (Actionfigurepics.com has the rundown of the characters) revealing Copperhead, DeSaad, Doctor Mid-Nite, Eclipso, Iron, Mary Marvel, Spectre and Darkseid as the Collect and Connect. A distinctive, but generally low-level bad guy, two more Kirby/New World heavy hitters (both of which do double duty as rounding out the Super Powers Collection roster), two more JSA’ers, the first Metal Man, and another member of the Marvel Family… all in all a pretty successful roster. I still think the highlight is Eclipso though.

The Fwoosh finishes it’s interview with Scott Neitlich of Mattel and there’s actually some brief Infinite Heroes talk. The 2010 theme will not be limited to Infinite Heroes, but will run through all the Mattel DC lines and it will likely be introduced in the fall. There won’t be a proof of purchase clipping program though, so no more hunting for Anti-Monitor points I suppose.

And finally, Airheads is having a Batman Brave and the Bold theme, with 6 individual wrappers (Batman, Blue Beetle, Aquaman, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, and Plastic Man), but they’ve also got some fun and games on their site like a quiz to find what Brave and the Bold character you are, or the painting screen that lets you paint your own Batman!
