More Marvel Merchandise
After seeing a Super Hero Squad branded version of those giant balls that you sit on and bounce up and down on, I’m not surprised to hear this news piece of Marvel teaming with Jarden for new sporting goods and other assorted merchandise. Of note: Marvel’s “portfolio” is listed as including “Super Hero Squad, Spider-Sense Spider-Man, Wolverine Classic, Spider-Man Classic, Marvel Heroes and Marvel Extreme.” Who knows what Marvel is trying to brand as Wolverine Classic or Spider-Sense Spider-Man, but it’s interesting to see Marvel’s Extreme brand pop up again. Feel free to jump into the SHS merchandise discussion over on the board.
Animation Roundup
There’s lots of exciting animation news out now, so how about a quick rundown:
Green Lantern First Flight DVD is out next Tuesday, including that super-cool exclusive Infinite Heroes Green Lantern with the new articulation.
Wolverine and the X-Men Deadly Enemies hits stores today, featuring a handful of great episodes (featuring Spiral, Gambit, Vibro and the Hulk along with the usual assortment of wacky mutants) but TV Shows On DVD is reporting that volume 3 will be out November 3, 2009.
TV Shows on DVD also has pictures of the Transformers and GI Joe complete DVD sets with all their wacky add-ons (Magnets? Tattoos? A dog tag USB drive? Pretty interesting swag.)
Secret Wars and Wave 31 and 32 Minimates Revealed
So apparently I didn’t hallucinate the X-23 minimate I thought I saw over on Marvelousnews.com. Minimate Headquarters backs me up, and saved the pictures to boot, by reporting that

Shadowcat and Captain Britain
Multiple Man & Angel (modern)
Classic Angel (Variant)Series 32
X-Force style Cable and X-23
Extremis Iron Man and Titanium Man

Goliath Variant.
They also report that the Secret Wars set is announced as Beyonder, the Monica Rambeau Captain Marvel (aka Photon), and the Doctor Doom and Spider-Man figures.
As always, feel free to discuss over on the board.
Handful of Heroes Checklist
Well, we haven’t finished going through the figures yet, but in the meantime, we’ve posted a scan of the checklist to whet your appetite for the line. We’ve started a gallery for it here and the direct link to the full sized scan is here for those interested, and of course, you can jump over to the board to discuss.

Combat Heroes Single Pack Figures
Clanure’s got pictures (loose, packaged, comparison… the whole deal) of the new Combat Heroes single packed figures in the gallery, he’s updated the wiki entry (and of course, the related profiles), with the new figures. Head on over and check them out!
Wiki Updates
Given the slow newsweek, we’ve been able to catch up on revisions to the Rumorbuster Wiki, so in case you haven’t had a chance, you can see the most recent updates to the unreleased/unproduced Super Hero Squad figure section (updated with snowflake Iceman, new pants Hulk, silver Ultimate Captain America, and loose shots of Kraven and black Costume Spider-Man), the new Brave and the Bold Action League checklist and an early draft of our newly revised Rumorbuster Index (which long time readers may remember started on Rumorbuster 1.0 as essentially a set of FAQs). So hopefully some of that will pique your interest and keep you entertained until some new news comes out.
The Super Hero Squad Sinister Six
In his continuing efforts to drive us all crazy with jealousy, Clanure’s updated his folder with pictures of his now Kraven-led Super Hero Squad Sinister Six. You can congratulate him on his latest haul over on the board
