THQ’s Super Hero Squad appearing at E3
With video game extravaganza E3 happening in a little over a week, various sites (like Platform Nation for one) are reporting that THQ’s Super Hero Squad video game will be shown, which only makes too much sense since the game is supposed to be released in fall 2009 so hopefully we’ll see some pictures soon! Feel free to discuss over on the board.
Yost on Avengers
I just posted a list of Super Hero Squad (and general interest really) twitter feeds on the board and then I came across Christopher Yost’s where he apparently spends a fair amount of time teasing us about the upcoming Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes animated series.
I think 6-11 year old boys need to toughen up for Avengers episode 22.about 7 hours ago from twhirl

Case Revision and Pre-Order Information
Shoppers rejoice! First, Super Hero Squad Wave 14 now has it’s first revision case.
1x Spider-Man & Venom
1x Hulk & Spiderwoman
1x Captain America & Red Skull
1x Spider-Man & Electro
1x Thorbuster Iron Man & Thor
1x Human Torch & Silver Surfer
1x Wolverine & Bishop
1x Deathlok & Iron Man 2020

1x Black Spider-Man & Iron Fist
Apparently Hasbro thinks that a pack of repaints will be the big seller, and that the Hulk/Spider-Woman 2-pack and Spider-Man/Electro 2-pack need to be out. Again. With Spider-Woman already getting another figure in Wave 15. And with Rogue/Gambit and any number of other pre-packaging change two-packs still fetching pretty prices. Well… it’s an interesting move.
In other news, Handful of heroes figures are finally up for pre-order! $84.99 for a case, shipping in July, there are apparently going to be over 40 different figures in Wave 1. Still no word yet as to whether that’s 40 different figures total, or whether each figure comes in different colors like classic MUSCLE figures.
every package includes 8 miniature-sized Marvel super-heroes, a play mat, and a super secret hidden figure. With over 40 different Marvel figures to collect in wave 1, you can amass whole armies of all your favorite heroes and villains including Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Hulk, and Dr. Doom.
And Big Bad Toy Store is also putting up pre-orders for Galactic Heroes 2009 Wave 3, Revision 1 (or Star Wars Clone Wars Galactic Heroes Figures Wave 7 if you’re an Entertainment Earth follower) coming in June (with Entertainmentearth.com giving them a July date) and featuring:
1x Han Solo & Logray
1x Lando & Luke
1x Blockade Rebel Trooper & Stormtrooper
1x Death Star Droid, Mouse Droid & Chewbacca
1x 2 Jawas & R2-D2
1x Admiral Ackbar & Nein Nunb

1x Commander Gree & Tarfull (not currently pictured)
1x Kit Fisto & General Grievous (not currently pictured)
1x Lt. Thire & IG88 Assassin Droid (not currently pictured)
1x Ahsoka & Goldie (not currently pictured)
1x Clone ARF Trooper & Yoda (not currently pictured)
Still More Dark Avengers Minimates
Toys News International has news of yet another set of Dark Avengers Minimates, this time featuring Sentry, Ares, Moonstone-as-Ms. Marvel and Bullseye-as-Hawkeye. That, with Scorpion-as-Venom-as-Spider-Man, Daken-as-Wolverine, Norman Osborne’s Iron Patriot and Marvel Boy coming as another set and the upcoming Thunderbolts based Minimates featuring Scorpion-as-Venom, Norman Osborne, Speedball-as-Penance and Radioactive Man, we’ve got quite the roster of identity crises. Songbird and Swordsman are the two most obvious hold-outs from that era of Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers, but here’s hoping that this paves the way for the classic Thunderbolts (Zemo, Mach IV, Atlas, Blizzard, Jolt).
Super Hero Squad Casting Info: Reptil and someone cosmic?
Continuing the sporadic announcements of the Super Hero Squad animated show’s casting information, IMDB now has a listing for Antony Del Rio as “Reptile” (presumably Reptil), while Mikey Kelley’s blog has been updated with this post reminding fans to catch him as Kamandi in Brave and the Bold (or, Batman and Friends if you will) and mentioning that
“One of these Heroes is going to sound – COSMIC!!!
Coming Fall 2009″
So with Thor out of the running (already voiced by Dave Boat), Silver Surfer and Doctor Strange are still up in the air, and don’t forget Mr. Fantastic (irradiated by cosmic rays), so we look forwardt o hearing his big reveal. As always, the cast and characters announced so far can be found at our wiki entry for the Super Hero Squad TV series
