Newsclips 04/26/09

April 26th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Combat Heroes, Marvel

I was just watching G.I. Joe Resolute on Cartoon Network and when to HissTank for more information on the Resolute styled figures. What I found? Apparently a possible holiday themed Combat Heroes listing over at Target.

In other news, we put up a page with the Marvel Marbles information available so far. And just because it seems interesting, the start of a breakdown of toylines by size. Obviously, more work is needed.

Oh, and while many of you have probably seen it by now, Toyark has pictures of Forge and Toad from the Wolverine and the X-Men animated line.

Takara Tomy Marvel Toys, Tatsunoko Anime

April 23rd, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Animated, Marvel Anime, Marvel Movies

Apparently this fall Marvel’s going to be releasing some new toys in Japan with Takara Tomy, and perhaps more interesting is the announcement of a joint TV series by Tatsunoko, the fine folks behind the Gatchaman license. Who knows what kind of wacky crossovers can go down, or what effect this has on the previously announced anime series scheduled for 2010. A few shots of which were shown on the Incredible Hulk DVD’s trailer collection and were shown here a while ago, and are also in the gallery.

Newsclips 04/23/09

Marvel.com has concept art and sketches up for the upcoming Iron Man Armored Adventures animated series. And what’s that? Hulk, Leader, Rick Jones and Fin Fang Foom will be guest starring in upcoming episodes?

Speaking of Iron Man, Terrence Howard is still angry about being replaced as War Machine.

And apparently we have Dark Knight Returns and Watchmen to blame for the Comic Sans font according to the Wall Street Journal.

Don’t forget that Wolverine and the X-Men is out on DVD (at least the first three episodes) as of this past Tuesday!

Time Squad Vehicles

April 23rd, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Time Squad

Doctor Who Toys has a bit of news about the Doctor Who Time Squad figures (already out overseas, but Entertainment Earth has bumped their expected ship date to August), and apparently three mini-vehicles are being “packed randomly with one of the 15 Time Squad figures” The ships are apparently Captain Jack’s Chula Ship, SS Pentallion, and a Slitheen Cruiser. Great idea, but I think many of are keeping our fingers crossed for a Galactic Heroes sized interior of the Tardis.

More Mighty Marvel Mini-Mates MNews

April 22nd, 2009 Comments Off Posted in Minimates

Mnews may not be a real word, but as many great men have never said “alliteration, above all.” Anyway, Action-Figure.com has pictures of the SDCC exclusive Thunderbolts Minimates (Norman Osborne, Penance, Mac Gargan Venom, and Radioactive Man!), and Art Asylum is holding a poll where fans can choose which 4 Secret Wars themed Minimates should be made. Choices include Monica Rambeau (powered and non-powered), Beyonder (powered and non powered), Ben Grimm (Thing minus rocks), Molecule Man, Doctor Doom, Spider-Man-being-symbioted, Spider-Woman (now Arachne, the Julia Carpenter version), and she of mixed reception: Mohawk Storm. In other Minimates news, the TRU two-packs, including Wonder Man and Union Jack amongst the usual Hulks and Spider-Men, are hitting TRUs now.
