New SHS Vehicles shown at Canadian Toy & Hobby Fair 2009!
Actionfigurenews.ca has pictures of the Canadian Toy & Hobby Fair 2009 which show (albeit, with obstruction) some new Super Hero Squad vehicles! Specifically this photo showing Wolverine, Captain America, Spider-Man and Iron Man on a “Mega Vehicle and Playset” (“3 vehicles in 1!”) with Wolverine being shot while the inset shows a repaint of Wolverine and his motorcycle. Thor (with the Reigning costume) and Captain America can be seen in a “hero copter” underneath the previously released Juggernaut 4-pack.

Infinite Heroes Checklist Updated
We’ve updated the Infinite Heroes Checklist with the single figures up to figure 37 (the single pack of Hal Jordan), and the three packs up to the Mary Marvel pack, now that those have been seen on eBay and we now have the information. Alex Luthor brings the number of individual characters up to 50, with Mary Marvel and the Gotham Knights characters bringing the total to 54. And in other news, this is our 400th post, not counting message board posts and the like, while the gallery has finally hit 7400 image views, and in the next month or so we’ll be unveiling the next big feature (which will be a sort of replacement for the current checklist forum) which we’ve already been working diligently on. 2009 is looking pretty good!
Blob and Sabretooth also getting 3.75 inch figures?
A little late jumping on this bandwagon, but over on thefwoosh, Mr. Fiend has posted pictures of what appears to be a 3.75 inch (or are they now officially being called 4 inch?) comic book versions of Blob and Sabretooth, so that’s two more for the line!
Toyfare’s Super Hero Squad and Marvel Universe coverage
For those that didn’t pick up the issue of Toyfare featuring Super Hero Squad coverage a few months ago, they’ve apparently posted the article on their site. Be warned, it’s just 9 figures that the author thinks are wacky or obscure with an attempt at humor (see: “How many comic characters are there who are related to guys who share their name with a mustache style? Well, other than Son of Baron Von Handlebar, anyway.”)
Toyfare 138 however, which is still on some bookstore shelves, features a discussion of the upcoming Marvel Universe line, and even shows the not-coming-soon-enough Nick Fury figure.
X-Men the Animated Series
TVShowsonDVD has both good news and bad news regarding the 90′s X-Men Animated Series. The good news: 2 volumes of a new collection of X-Men the Animated Series are being released on April 28. The bad news: There’s no telling what’s in the sets, or how many episodes are in each one, or even if the episodes will be chronological or simply a mish-mash of whatever Disney puts on them. Given how well horded the 90′s Marvel cartoons have been, I would have preferred a one-set Complete Series rather than trusting Disney to put out the remaining sets at a later date.
Still, any news is good news, and it puts Marvel Animation Collectors one step closer to having a complete library. What’s out so far? 3 of the 4 X-Men Evolution series, Fantastic Four’s 1990′s series and it’s most recent, Spider-Man’s complete 1960′s series, the complete 2000′s MTV series and some episodes of Spectacular Spider-Man, plus all the Direct to DVD movies.
Of course, DC’s animated collectors have every episode of Batman the Animated Series, Superman, the Justice League, Teen Titans, Batman Beyond, the web-only Gotham Girls, almost every Super Friends/Super Powers episode, the 1960′s DC Animated Teen Titans, Hawkman, Atom and Green Lantern episodes, Aquaman, New Adventures of Batman…
I’m sure Marvel will catch up.
And Minimates Wave 26…
And now Marvelousnews has Wave 26 of Marvel’s Minimates up. The figures feature movie versions of Deadpool, Blob, Sabretooth and Wolverine so you’ll either love them or hate them.
Super Hero Squad Chutes and Ladders
Although we previously mentioned the Super Hero Squad Chutes and Ladders game, and Entertainment Earth’s pre-order (due to ship in February), they’ve updated their listing with pictures!
