Small Gallery Update

We’ve added scans of the last summer’s Spider-Man catalog from Hasbro. Very movie-oriented, eagle eyed lookers will notice the unused Venom prototype in their Super Hero Squad figures, and the Super Hero Squad Backpack Danglers that I don’t believe were ever actually released.

Q&A Roundup

October 31st, 2008 Comments Off Posted in Marvel Universe, Super Hero Squad

Super Hero Times confirms that there will be peg holes for the upcoming Marvel Universe figures, and possibly stands in “another 2009 3.75′ offering”

Figures.com says the Marvel Universe figures share a similar theme, at least the first few waves, with Fury Files being the first major theme and in two weeks, a feature called Bullets From Fury will be starting at the Fury Files website.

Kastor’s Korner has this cryptic response to whether Ultimate Hulk, Galactus II, and the rumored Wendigo mega-packs are still coming:

Hasbro: A couple of the figures that you mentioned have been fully developed
(Ultimate Hulk) and will still get used in the Squad line but not in the 2
pack format.

So there you go, a rundown of the highlights of Hasbro’s recent Q&As… well, except a lot of the corporatey-stuff (ie, the “well, if the line sells well, we’ll do X, Y and Z” lines)

Gotham City Patrol review

October 31st, 2008 Comments Off Posted in Infinite Heroes

Superhero Times has posted a review of the Infinite Heroes Gotham City Patrol 6-pack (yay Catwoman and Killer Croc!)

There’s lots of great pictures, and a fairly positive review (some questions about the paint applications and the reviewer is dissatisfied with the few accessories that come with the figures, but otherwise positive) so go check it out if for no other reason than the fun pictures.

Are Blade and Punisher really coming soon?

I know Super Hero Squad Wave 9 has been driving collectors crazy for months now, ever since Hasbro first put the wave up as coming soon. Well, the Blade/Punisher pack is back up as coming soon!

Hopefully that’s a sign that whatever production/distribution delays they were going through are over and Wave 9 is on its way.

Minor Gallery Update

A small update to the Gallery, we’ve added another of the 3 new Super Hero Squad posters (one more to go) and scans of the 8 new 2-packs and 2 new 4-packs intothe Posters Album. Scans of the packs aren’t great, but that’s in part due to the fact that the photos on the posters lose a little bit of detail in the printing, which naturally means less for a scanner to pick up. Hopefully we’ll see hi-res shots of the figures soon, right?

Gallery Update

And now for our first Gallery update: Almost 100 pictures of Storm, Black Panther, Rogue, Gambit, Beast, Iceman, Thor, Ares, Doctor Strange, Antman and Namor just went up. Yeah, we’re putting up photos of the rare figures first (Vulture, Movie Venom II and Sandman II are already up in case you haven’t noticed) but we promise, everyone will go up eventually. Thanks to everyone that’s already visited the Gallery and helped rate the photos.
